Goalkeepers deserve mention too.

VDS, Peter the great Dane, Cech,
I had Schmikes in my list. Don`t quite understand why more haven`t included him. For those of us under 30 he is the best goalkeeper we`ve ever seen I reckon.

Beckham

Scholes has always been a better player...

admit it you fancy beckham dont you...
Thats true he was one of my favorite players. Never doubted his passion and work rate for Manchester United. Was sad he was sold, but SAF see it as neccessary to keep checks and balances on the team, and I respect SAF's decision for that.

You're always aiming me.

I guess different people sees things differently. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
It's obvious that topics like this are going to be open to debate, but surely you can appreciate how insane it is to say that Cahill is a better player than Cruyff, Zico, Best, Puskas.....etc

I'm not sure why i'm bothering here. This can't be anything other than a wind up.....

Cahill destroyed Zico in the WC. For that night most Australians will love Timmy more than most of the superstars on these lists. He is nowhere near as good as them though...

Looking at great players does not mean just looking at those who won lots of trophies and awards. Great players can also mean those who carry their team forward wholeheartedly, against all odds. Players like Tevez, who saved West Ham from relegation single-handedly, Cahill who brought Everton into contention for a CL slot. These are remarkable players, just that the other players surrounding them who they play for aren't as good or passionate, so overall, their team does not do well and doesn't catch the attention often. These are players who make their team click.

How is it not? Don't just say something and leave without justifying it, like Tabata.
Le tiss was brilliant for years and years, ronadlo's done it for a year and a half, i don't need to justify myself to someone who thinks Tim Cahill god.

Can't be arsed making a list but Matthaus and Baresi would definitely be in it if I ever was to make a list.

And Papin. And Desailly.

Feck, this is starting to look like a list already.

:D
