Pretty big?! Literally a third of the available players have been picked, there’s a massive chance of selecting an already picked player. I’m massively shocked that so many passed first time!
Everybody needs to cover 2-3 positions and for those there are at least 5-6 quality options(played in finals and all).

Should be about 10ish per position, we had a list of 14 for our position with 10ish really good options

Aye, full backs are a bit scarce commodity but the rest have a lot of options.

Doubt so, unless those who are left go big twice which I doubt.
I wager 3 of the managers will fail this round

Good luck with that.

Picked Robben probably 2-3 times and never gets his due. Either cut in and shoot merchant or is too individualistic.
How is Cut in and shoot merchant a negative for him? People have said this about him for 15 years and all LB's and cb's have failed to stop him. He is so good at it that its irrelevant that that is all he is good at.

He wouldn’t be able to do it against pre early 2000 Defences

Most modern attacking players suffer from this tbh. Put him against a Catenaccio specialist defensive fullback and he tends to get blanketed out.

But he has played against defensive Leftbacks before and still done well, he generally takes out the cb and the lb at the same time and its not like the defenders dont know its coming.

This is my last comment for today so any more responses to discussion will be edits to this post.

against GOAT full backs he's a bit lost in discussion. I rate him obviously but feel that he isn't really a match winner in all time drafts.

Pity there wasn’t any sheep in that round, could have been some belters.

Some defence @Indnyc - completely watertight.

Yeah I rate him as high as anyone bar probably Garrincha/Messi in that position. Brutally effective with his pace and almost unparalleled ability to cut sharply onto his stronger foot.

Wow that sounds like massive overrating to me. Best, Rummenigge, Figo and Matthews are easily better than Robben and there are others who I think deserve to be rated higher than him, although that may be up to discussion.

Has Robben really ever had a Ballon Dor level season? I don't think so. If he runs into a well built 5-3-2, I'd probably always give the benefit to the opposition. His career has had highs but not consistently long enough (in a season, mostly due to injuries) or strong enough seasons raking in unbelievable numbers.

For a guy who apparently can cut in and score at the GOAT levels, not having any seasons with more than 20 odd goals in all competitions combined is really underwhelming. You will always remember his goals in this game and that, but never a season or competition. WC14 is an exception because of it being a short tournament.

That’s a bit unfair on him.. How many wingers consistently score more than 20 goals a season? His record of 1 in 3 is pretty good for a winger?

Modern players are generally underrated in all time drafts.. He’s easily up there with the best modern footballers.. His pace and ability to stretch the pitch is genuinely breathtaking.. You could see shades of it even when he was playing for Chelsea all those years back

He probably should have in 2013 when Bayern won the Treble and those two were the key players in their season.

Agree on Best. Rummenigge was a different type of player who hit his absolute peak as a centre-forward who could roam wide as opposed to a winger who could cut in. As for the others, it depends on what the team needs as they bring different strengths to the table which is why I’d place them in the same broad tier.
