Just days left for the 2023 season kickoff so pick your teams before the season starts and come back at the end of the regular season to see if you have won. It's that simple and easy.

How to Play
You select the teams you think will have the best record at the end of the regular season.
You combine the number of wins of the teams you selected to get your Wins Total.
Whoever has the highest Wins Total, Wins the Pool!

A Tie counts as half a Win and is added to the total. A team can only be picked once.

Example:
You picked Cowboys and Broncos and their standings at the end of regular season are:

Cowboys: 13-2-1
Broncos: 3-13-0

Then your Wins Total is 13+0.5+3 = 16.5

Tie Breaker
If two players finish with the same Wins Total, the winner will be decided by tiebreaker in the following order:
1. Best combined away record
2. Most combined points scored
3. Least combined points against
4. Coin-toss

@Rado_N won by the tiniest of margins bringing cheer to all the Broncos fans. Will it be enough to bring good fortune for this season though?

Would ideally need at least 8 people to play. Will do a snake draft in the thread itself once we get enough people. Who's in?

From the years I ran it

@GloryHunter07 won them both

Okay looks like we already have 11 players. Will wait till tonight to see if we can get 5 more players. That way we can have 16 players picking just 2 teams each.

Or play with 11 and get Roger to form a new franchise in London (that I won't watch or support despite living in the city) so we can go with 3 each.

Considering the Chiefs are in rebuild mode and will surely be pants this season, maybe we just make Chiefs the 33rd team and everyone get to pick them

Nah don't do that. I was hoping to get them in the 2nd round.

So 13 in, need just 3 more. Come on folks, it just needs 2 days of effort while drafting. Just check in at the end of regular season to see if you have won

How To Play
Okay so that gives us 14. Don't think we should wait anymore as we are already short on time. Let's start but we'll play with a twist.

Will randomize the list of 14 players and each player will pick based on snake draft. So, at the end of round 2, 28 teams will be picked which means 4 teams will be unwanted.
In round 3, everyone then gets an unwanted pick and must only pick a team from the one of the 4 remaining teams. Obviously any of these 4 teams can be picked more than once in this round. Hope it's clear!

The time between picks is 6 hours for round 1 and 3 hours for round 2.

P.S. If you are in a different time zone and you think you will be unavailable when it's your turn, please PM me your pick (send a list of 2-3 teams in case your team gets picked by someone else).

Will randomize the above list and then take that list and randomize again. So, the 2nd list will be the final list for the draft. This is just to shuffle the original list.

The original list is shuffled. Randomizing again for official draft order

Why rng twice?
The first list is in order of who replied first. So the first rng just jumbles the list so there's no order. Makes it "fairer" I guess.
Seen this being practiced in a couple of drafts so just thought of doing the same :D
