This is a class mail my brother replied with to a load on Liverpool fans who were spamming him in work regarding the recent CL cup win:

=====================================================

SECOND READING - A reading from SIR MATT to the Bin Dippers.

I have congratulated the few decent Liverpool supporters I know on their success, and for those I have not met I say again, congratulations on a fantastic victory and I am genuinely happy for you, because I would have been delighted if my team had attained such a result against all the odds.

But for the vast majority of their fans the ones who take the aggressive arrogant approach aimed directly and solely at Manchester United, I say this:

Know your place little friends; no matter what you win you will always live in the shadow of Manchester United. For 25 years you won silver, but you didn’t win Gold, you didn’t win the hearts of the masses through flair and attacking football.

You won 5 European Cups, don't forget your 18 leagues, FA and League and UEFA cups, list them all off to me. IT DOES NOT MATTER. NOBODY CARES barring Liverpool fans. You won everything there is to win over and over for a 25 year period, and yet everyone wants to read and hear about MANCHESTER UNITED (whether for hateful spite or delight) and that kills you, you cannot understand or accept why the less successful club hols so much more attention across the globe, it comes out as hatred and jealousy and hence you are baptised in the dark religion known as ABU.

You are therefore thrust into football purgatory to spend your days in torment, in the shadow of Manchester United, the less successful but enormously more popular club. How can you ever be bigger or more popular, you may ask? You cannot enter the promised land, my bin dipping brethren, until there is the genuine foundation of the "Anyone But Liverpool" commune (ABL). There will be many signs before this great happening, the most prominent being when everybody shouts loudly and aggressively against you regardless of the opposition, then you will know the time is near, you have gained in status, and you will be close to freeing yourself from the shadows of Manchester United, however considering you couldn’t manage this with a 25 year spell of domination I wouldn’t hold my breath of it happening anytime soon; until then you will have to be content with occasional success such as your recent CL win to ease your daily torment.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those ABU's out there for their relentless acrimony and hatred of all things Manchester United, we truly could not be the world’s biggest and most famous club that are today without you, you are one of the building blocks of our glorious history and success as the world's greatest football club, and the most abundantly vocal evidence that Manchester United are who we say they are.

"Are you the king of the clubs"?, "It is YOU who say we are........."

This is the gospel according to Sir Matt
(:Thanks be to God:)

It's the media and tv that is to blame.

And United fans are as anti us as we are anti them, those who cannot see that are either blind or stupid or both.

United hate Liverpool because they won more trophies. Full stop, simple jealousy.... agreed.

Liverpool hate us just as much and more, because....? We have and always will be bigger and more popular then they are, right the way through their greatest successes.

 Amusing.

You know apparently Shankly, when approached by the Liverpool board asking 'Do you want to come and manage the best club in England', replied 'Why? Has Sir Matt left United?'. Heh heh. Not sure of the date mind.

What is clear is the two clubs are the best in England, obviously I have alot of begrudging respect for what Liverpool have acheived, but I find it difficult for their fans to call United fans arrogant in light of the way theyve behaved not only with this recent success but their entire inferiority complex regarding Manchester United.

its true

the amount of dippers who spent more time rubbing Utd fans faces in it rather than savouring their own teams achievement is testament
