Is Pogba too good for academy football? maybe reserves will do for him
Something went on earlier off camera, I think he was taking a little retribution. Their no.9 is very physical and caused us quite a few problems (and scored 2 goals of course!)Formasier's got a nasty streak. Proper Italian centre-half.
Maybe JB will put together a compilation?I'm such a muppet, I can't help getting excited about a 16 year old kid who has only played one match - a match I haven't even seen.
Move him up to the reserves so I can get a glimpse of him as well, Ole.
I think he's deceptively quick. He has quite a languid gait but seems to be able to get away from players. How is Pogba's pace?
Very elegant player so never looks like he's busting a gut but covers the ground quick enough. The Diaby comparison is a good one.How is Pogba's pace?
Yeah I'll try if I get timeMaybe JB will put together a compilation?
It's hard to temper excitement when you see a debut as complete as this though against a decent side.Nice to see the wankfest has started about Pogba......
Crewe are a great club academy wise, always have been. Play football the right way, unlike Everton last week.
Sometimes you learn more in defeat especially in this age group.
I'll get lysglimt to give you a hand-job if you do...Yeah I'll try if I get time
NiceI'll get lysglimt to give you a hand-job if you do...
No way. The crewe side aren't the biggest and it wasn't that much of a challenge for him. There will be tougher sides for him later in the seasonIs Pogba too good for academy football? maybe reserves will do for him
What - are his hands broken ?I'll get lysglimt to give you a hand-job if you do...
4 minutes ago Just a bizarre game, dominant but defeated. A second straight loss, but lots of positives. Not all about results at this level.
6 minutes ago Morrison so nearly gets an equaliser at the end, Crewe's keeper just too good today, as he regularly is against us. Full-time, 1-2.
9 minutes ago Consolation at least for United, Keane gets his first of the season from close range. Can't be very long left though.
16 minutes ago Doesn't look like Cofie or Brady are getting on today, about five mins to go and no sign of them.
20 minutes ago Another great save, from Fryers now. Meanwhile Lloyd-Weston at the other end has had nothing to do bar pick the ball out of the net twice!
21 minutes ago Keane forces a great save from the Crewe keeper. United at least deserve a goal.
30 minutes ago Pogba so unlucky, hits the bar with a terrific freekick. Keane just couldn't scramble home the rebound. One of those days?
34 minutes ago Crazy game, United so dominant but now it's 2-0 Crewe. Great goal in fairness, overhead kick from the #9.
37 minutes ago The ball just isn't breaking for United in the box. There is a change, Larnell Cole on for Lingard.
42 minutes ago Crewe's big number nine misses practically an open goal on the counter, big let-off. United really need Cofie on.
1 hour ago Pogba goes close to an immediate reply with United's best chance so far.
1 hour ago After all United's early dominance, its Crewe who take the lead just after halftime, their striker flicking home a v.good cross at nr post.
1 hour ago John Cofie and Robbie Brady the attacking options on the bench, would expect to see Cofie on quite soon.
1 hour ago It's 0-0 at half-time. United playing well but the lack of an out and out striker is telling.
1 hour ago Crewe coming into the game more now, they've gone close a couple of times now.
1 hour ago United playing some great football but just lacking a bit of a cutting edge at the moment.
2 hours ago Young Pogba has started very impressively, as have the team as a whole.
2 hours ago Team: Lloyd-Weston, Thorpe, Fryers, Fornasier McGinty, Pogba, Lingard, Tunnicliffe, Keane, Morrison, Ajose.
2 hours ago United under-18s take on Crewe this morning, updates from gresty road to follow.
Well I've got good news for you there!Well we didn't deserve to lose 2-0
yeah I know it was 2-1..Was just testing you lot..honestWell I've got good news for you there!
And I'm really happy with Pogba's debut, couldn't have hoped for much more.
There's always one....Yeh, Possebon also looked quite good at the start. What ever happend to him?
Sorry, if i halted your inner muppet. There's always one....
He's on loan to Braga. He's only 20 and looked very good until a bad injury so the jury is still out.
For a young player's first game in a foreign country it was a very impressive debut and he showed a lot of promise and was arguably the best player on the pitch. No one is getting carried away, but there's nothing wrong with being excited about seeing how he progresses.Sorry, if i halted your inner muppet.
He did look pretty neat for someone so young, the next Viera.
Cheers. Not much to go by, but if I put it on repeat I just might be able to squeeze one out.Crap quality but here you go lads
