Television Alice in Borderland

Super excited for this - I also preferred it to Squid Game (which to be fair is excellent as well). I'm glad there is at least some source material from the 'Retry' manga. Obviously a bit nervous if they can keep the same quality, but they've taken enough time with it. Looks to be 8 episodes again!

I took forever to finally give this a go and it was really captivating. I'd say Squid Game season 1 shaded it over season 1 of AoB but the 2 seasons of AoB are better than the 2 seasons of Squid Game together.

Not sure what to expect from season 3, people seemed to like the season 2 ending but
For me it was the "bad ending" and hopefully its the Joker character's doing because while I like the traumatic event/disaster survivor explanation it feels like a hollow ending if the 2 main characters dont remember their time together or it never really happened. Its just a slightly happier version of the illusion Mira was trying to show where they are medicated. So while others are happy for the show to end there I wouldnt be. I hope Season 3 is one long final game and if they win they recover their memories of their time together or something like that, or a better ending where their bonds and experiences during the game actually meant something.

Also I personally think the concept and world has lots of potential for spin offs and other character stories. So ending after 2 seasons, or 3 seems too early for me. I'm not sure I feel the same way with Squid Game. The AiB world is a lot more interesting. Obviously I understand it was based on a manga and didnt have a lot more to adapt, but I still think its worth trying to expand on it.

I really hope they show more games. That was the best part of the first season. And they need more (good) characters. Lots were killed in the first season, but it when it was just a few fan favourites left, the plot armor started showing up more.
