I stumbled upon this cover everybody's probably already heard but it just cracked me up. And Puddle of Mud were a somewhat known band at one point so they aren't nobodies either.

Any other funny butchering of good songs?

That’s hilarious  I think it also shows Cobain’s vocal talents that he managed to deliver that off note raw sound with such precision that it sounded so good.

Don't think there is anything that beats that one, first thing that came to my mind when I read the thread title. Truly woeful.

It's not the worst cover I've heard, but the combination of everything makes it funny:

- Sting having to watch his own song get butchered while the cameras zoom in on his face.
- The irony of a blind man singing "I'll be watching you".
- Everything happening in a very formal and stiff setting.

I'm sure we're going to hear numerous bad covers during the Christmas period on adverts and the radio.

I always forget how bad that Nirvana cover is, and I spin it again whenever it pops up and I'm reminded that it isn't as bad as I remembered. It's worse.

They should have tuned the guitars down a step. He looks like he's about to shit himself hitting those high notes.

'CHOP SUEY - AVRIL LAVIGNE COVER (terrible)'

That is woeful, you go down to the show hoping to hear some Sk8r Boi and she serves that up.
It's so good. Just the concept alone is enough to ruin people's day before they even get as far as discovering she didn't so much as pretend to know the words.

How did this get cleared??
Comment section is gold.

“Isn’t the full name of the group
Take that song and shit all over it?”

“Nirvanas version was good if a little mopey, but nothing beats the raw energy of the original”

“in a way it’s probably for the best that Kurt wasn’t around for this”

There was another good one but I can’t find it something like

“it’s great to see Gary at optimum weight and enjoying some cocaine”
