Sure, l understand the tax guys will advice the club on the financial and legal aspects, specifically surrounding taxation. My point was for LaLiga to accept/reject something, that would be in adherence to the prevailing rules and not some random decision. To that effect, surely the club had experts think of this as a possibility and prepared their advice accordingly?
The issue here though sounds like Barca paid some of their money, possibly to inflate the deal and that money will now be subject to tax. Surely they (the club) knew before agreeing to this about the tax implications? Was this the of a calculated risk gone wrong? If it was, then the new admin isn’t really as competent as people seem to be giving them credit for.
