They've said there's server based sbmm, which is different to cod's and less brutal. Not sure how that translates in reality?Pretty sure there are going to be custom servers, right? Battlefield has never been about skill based matchmaking, really.
It's similar to Ground War on cod but with an even bigger map. I never enjoyed Ground War that much for the same reasons, but that did feel like you could influence a win more by going for the objective. With all due respect Veev I think you underestimate how hard this game is for casual FPS fans. I get the impression from the warzone thread that you at the very least a competent player and likely above average overall. I went into the Beta yesterday and I have never been so out of my depth in a video game. There was stuff going on all around, I didn't understand or know any of the mechanics and you add vehicles on top, and it's absolutely brutal for a below-average FPS player. Don't get me wrong that doesn't make the game bad, but you really have to be a decent FPS player to enjoy the game like this.
You'd probably get used to it pretty quickly. I just think the size of it and the amount of players, all trying to get kills means everyone is all over the place. Even if everyone was decent at the game I can't see being much different.
