That should be out strategy. Get Todibo now, him for 15m in January
i don't think we even need Todibo....we have varane, martinez, lindelof and Evans....we can use Shaw as well. 5 CB's should get us thru the fall and we can re-evaluate that need come january. I don't see the point in paying 30m to bring in a 4th choice CB when CM is still the main priority

Would he still want the move in January?
Seems like he really wants to leave Bayern. Did he not have issues with them in the past too? So many clubs attract players just before their contracts run out, so why not us for once

Evans is past it, Varane‘s fitness level is a question mark, Lindolof back up at best and Shaw like Martinez prefer to play on the left. So Todibo is absolutely needed

He offers different skills to Todibo so shouldn't see signing him as a reason not to go back in come January window

I think he's just pissy with Bayern in general, yes he probably would prefer to play at CB but think he is willing to play at RB when Erik requires
Also breaking it down to RB vs CB might be oversimplifying it. For all we know Pavard might see a difference between being a traditional RB who gets up and down the pitch versus being a nominal RB who actually tucks in beside the two CBs to make up a back three when the team is in possession.

Commenting on his mates post on Instagram. Probably happens all the time. We ain’t signing another defender if Maguire ain’t leaving.

Another mistake about to happen.
He just keep adding players that do not have the physicality and not specialist at anything really.

I’ve been saying since last season that we lack physicality so I can’t pretend to be thrilled that we’re adding another player bereft of these qualities after having already signed Mount.

After watching Wan Bissaka on the ball tonight, I thoroughly believe we need him as well as a midfielder.

Bayern are playing hard ball, there’s not enough time in the window and Maguires deal is ticking.

Tell Erik he can’t have what he wants and sign Todibo the better prospect for less money.

Club transfer strategy in the gutter nothing has changed

How’s he going forward?

Another one pushing for deal but totally unwelcome by the fanbase. Starting to become a very common theme this window
I don’t get it. Why is he unwelcome? It’s he supposed to be very good in the buildup and at link up play - somewhat like Ben White?

I agree but most of the CAF are saying is he's too slow, too short, offers nothing going forward and shite in the air. That's what I was getting at when I said he's yet another target totally unwanted.

We should be using our scarce resources better. What we need is a specialist Centre back or Full back that will adapt to the physicality of the league, enough of signing players with the idea of shoehorning them into a side and praying it works out. He is nothing special and you can see how he will struggle in defence seeing we have got Shaw who can be pedestrian a times and Varane who is already getting on.

It seems the fans are right this window.
When you see Caicedo been added to the Chelsea midfield, you already know how it is going to work.
Our manager keep signing players he already knows but a large chunk of them are average and don't exactly fit, it is just puzzling some the decision this season.
We already have two players that will need replacing next summer in Casemiro and Varane with the way this season will pan out in my eyes.
In a nutshell, I don't trust this rebuild

Bayern are pricks to deal with. They’ll either sell on the cheap if they know the player is on a downward trajectory, or make the process as long and drawn out as possible.

Most of them never saw him in action.

I think he makes sense as a RB who can tuck in to provide defensive cover to our crazy midfield

I think you can say thats true quite often, but a bloke who plays for Bayern and France regularly, I'd say even most of the biggest pretend experts on here will have seen him plenty.
Then they're just writing bollocks?
