The best Barca related trio is probably Xavi-Iniesta-Messi false 9 through the middle. There were plenty of good players around them too but they were mostly to service this dominating triangle through the middle. Watch the 2011 final again and it’s a tough watch for a United fan but they’re magic.

Ideally though, had he stayed at Barca that trio would have blown away any team any defence for years to come. Would have immortalised themselves those 3 as an attacking trio.

Not the best in football agreed but they were certainly the best attacking trio in a single season in the premier league.

Messi, Suarez, and Neymar(MSN) are arguably one of the best-attacking trios of all time. Their chemistry was off-the-chart( on and off the pitch), and everyone was in the best form of their career.
The rest, they're still having a lot of great trios like Xavi-Iniesta-Messi, Rijkaard-Van Basten-Gullit, Gren-Nordahl-Liedholm, Bonipert-Charles-Sivori, Ronaldo-Benzema-Bale, Perone-Scarone-Andrade( won 2 consecutive Olympic games in 1924 and 1928, and 2 Consecutive South American winners), Mane-Salah-Firmino, Cryuff-Keizer-Swart, Pele-Didi-Garrincha, and Puskas-ADS-Gento
Defensive trios would be: Bonucci-Chiellini-Barzagli, Nesta-Cannavaro-Maldini( not playing cb in Euro2000), Thuram-Cannavaro-Sensini, Kohler-Sammer-Heinrich, Kohler-Buchwald-Augenthaler and a lot

Going from Xavi to anyone is a massive step down but the busquet iniesta and rakitic trio isnt really inferior to anyone around europe. Cesc was still there too IIRC.
Quality wise, do you think MSN is better than PMS?
MSN is better than PMS (not the best acronym tbf), just like a midfield with Xavi in it is better than a midfield with Rakitić and older Iniesta. And, just as you can expect, the team with a better attack will score more goals (110 vs 95 in the league) while the team with a better midfield will control the games better.

I think Guardiola being the manager had a big impact too.
MSN imo, they hard carried at times. Can only imagine a prime MSN with Xaviesta and Busquets behind. MVP (or Messi Villa Pedro) was my favourite though. To this day actually, Pedro is so underrated.

Boddington's, John Willie Lees, Sam Smiths - you can't bitter that
Talent wise, name by name there hasn't been any trident better than the current PSG one. But result wise they haven't won anything yet.
Still waiting for the CL-title though!
