What's worse is the shots against... It's a shambles we are supposed to be United, a powerhouse, feared. Can't actually remember anything like itYe it doesn’t make sense. Last season you could see some patterns of play. We scored some beautiful goals against Arsenal, Liverpool, we even played decent against city in the home game. Injuries won’t have helped this season of course but it’s still unacceptable to be playing the way we are and only having 3 shots in the first half’s against teams like Bournemouth.
I was being sarcastic - "Against a superior side"!Not much to risk when it's the last attack of the game. I'm glad we didn't have that mentality in the last minute of the FA Cup vs Liverpool.
Lisandro was there last season and we weren't that solid defensively and in this one you have to take into account Villa/Liverpool/Spurs so yeah there'd be no guarantee of a CL spot with him available all season long. Specially with a shitty manager at the helmIf we had four players the quality of Lisandro we would be in the UCL places… heck if Licha stayed fit all season along with a single competent left back we would be.
Not to excuse the many mistakes made by ETH lately, but pretending otherwise is just wrong.
I cannot name them but we must have had some considering we're not in the bottom half. I actually can't remember the last time we had a lot of comfortable possession in opponents half and did not concede about 20 shots a game. Can you name them? When you say good does that mean a 30+ minute period of playing well?
Honestly I’d rather sell most of these players first. Unfortunately I don’t like many of them. Only ones I really care to keep are Mainoo, garnacho, Onana, Bruno, Mount, hojlund, Martinez. Everyone else id sell and replace. (Only reason id keep Mount is because he’s been injured so much so id like to see if he has a better second season and deserves a shot). And keep the manager right?
