I did not think Ronaldinho would be as good as he has been for Barca...his lifestyle and such....

some felt we paid way too much for an Everton reserve too....I was not among them though

now though I think we got him on the cheap....;)

so dont feel too bad mate..

Jesus i remember half of the forum saying shit like 'Oh god no not rooney', 'why the feck would we want him?' 'hes shit'

Turned out to be way off the mark.

I thought id laugh at myself here, we spend too much time on this forum taking ourselves so seriously, thought i'd at least start by taking the piss out of myself.

dont think anyone said he was shit...well at least I dont remember seeing such...but a fair few certainly thought that Everton was asking way too much for him.....

and I think we did a pay as you go deal...which even then I felt was a very good way to go....

you must have seen some of the ABUs on here laughing their heads off....

and VDS was declared as too old in some quarters - must admit I did laugh at those suggestions mind.

That's not me actually. I was bored one day when I was back in the Newbie bin, so I went to the last page of the noobs, maybe catch a hint of why it was started.

Apparently the Newbies was created about the time when we signed Klebs and Ronny, this was from one of the threads there.
