Which is why I dont understand when fans moan about Bruno. Yes, some of those passes will be mis hit or go astray but more often than not they are good and he has an ability to play a special pass too.

Might go under the radar but the last freekick where Casemiro should score, is a very delicate freekick.

Its because fans want to see 90% pass accuracy, is probably one of the easiest things to do, but it means the team is not progressing. Why is it that CB's and DM's generally have the highest pass %? Because most passes they make are side and back.

Bruno thrives when he has runners to hit. There will be a massive uptake in his game when we have proper wingbacks on both flanks and a striker who can create space for others consistently with their movement. What was very encouraging as a glimpse into the future was how Bruno came to the fore when we started playing quick, one-touch pass and move football. That is the essence of Amorim’s football and the bar for sides in his image is decisive, clean football. Bruno is adept at finding the initial pockets of space to play in so the more movement from others, the more probing he’ll become. Next season will be a big one for him.

Defensively he is non existant, he is not smart enough to cover pitch wisely, and when he is one on one he is not physical enough to defend, and when he is in midfield it's making us exposed. Today he was literally worse than Eriksen defensively at times, they went right through him and he coud do nothing about it.

As an attacking midfielder it's less painful and visible, and at worst he can run a lot there unlike in central midfield.

Its not going to happen boys. And today is an odd game to drag that topic in here again. He wasn't worse than any other of our players, instead he was probably once again one of the better ones from an outfought bunch. Taken the armband away is doing absolutely nothing. Whoever gets it, will be dragged down just as well.

And who do you replace them with?

Dropping is bullshit. Maybe give Bayindir a shot even though I don't think switching Onana will change much but Dalot and Bruno will at least give you workrate and in Brunos case some attacking output. The notion of him as a CM has to die, once and for all, but I guess, it will be revisited every time we play against Slavia Prague and end up winning with him playing in there. But getting him out of CM doesn't mean dropping him from the team. That would be beyond stupid and would only add to the drama and negative environment.

The time to be smart about our future is in the summer.

Hes still an incredibly frustrating player. For all his strengths, he's still wildly inconsistent and loose with the ball.

He's not really cut out to be a CM, and you're right, that's not his fault. But the criticism is always going to be valid when he has a bad game. About 50% of the time, at least

We have been a midfield team. Our finishes while he's been with us in the pl are 3rd in 2019/20 for a half a season, 2nd in 2020/21 (he was a world class player for that season and a half), then since then we've finished 6th, 3rd, 8th and we're currently 13th.

We have to rebuild completely in the next couple of years, no player (other than the promising youth) should be spared from being shipped to Saudi

To anyone who really paid a close attention to Bruno’s positioning / movement in today’s game it was precisely how you’ve described it. What I cannot wrap my head around is how supposedly top coaches seemingly are turning a blind eye on it when it’s so apparent even to sofa analysts like us?

I know that dude really dislikes (maybe even hates) Bruno, but this is actually what I see when I watch Bruno. He has so many mistakes in his play.

He's an excellent counter attacking player. Should play for Atletico or Villa.

But he's holding us back.

A big problem with United fans is romanticism. We love players or managers that have done well in the past.

But Bruno had his best season when there was empty stadiums and we had Martial and Rashford and Greenwood who were all hungry and healthy.

It's OK to be a United fan and say a top player's time is up. Hell, some people think De Gea shouldn't have left even though he's been shit since 2018.

Portugal has under achieved with him. United is a cup team at best.

Yes. He creates chances. But that's all he does with the ball - look for the killer ball and that killer ball is getting less and less. He's slow and weak so this will multiply.

He has to go this summer. I know it sucks saying someone who loves the club and works hard is finished. But it's true. His pressing leaves gaps, his hot potatoe concedes control and his weak and slow stature leaves us for dead at Old Trafford against any side.

He's in the wrong era. He doesn't fit.

Excellent video. Of course some situations are overstated, especially for the goals conceeded, I woudln't blame him for every situation showed, but most of these things are obvious from watching our games. He is big problem he for us defensively, there is a reason people go on our defenders so free for years and it's because our midfield is non existant, and Bruno is the only constant for all these years. Headless chicken without the ball.
