Rashford in January 2019.

There has only been 4 times that a United player won POTM since Fergie retired. The others were Martial (September 2015) and Ibrahimovic (December 2016).
Interesting that Pogba has never won it.

Our best player since PR7 was here, he's an absolute god among men. Why don't we ever have this kind of success scouting players? There are plenty of passionate, top class players like Bruno but we've been buying dross for years

And we were constantly told by a select few that 'special players' don't affect whole games, they just do one special thing then disappear.

Not only a true football brain but also absolutely decimated the myth of acclimatization time for new player.

Well played Bruno.

It's strange how some players can take a while to adapt to the Premier League (e.g. Fred) while others like Bruno and Salah hit the ground running straightaway

It's such a mystery, it doesn't say anything about how a player starts their career in a new league, but you have to wonder how Bruno, in the same conditions as a guy like Fred, managed to come into this team and hit the ground running like that. With different teams, the comparisons become harder to understand because there are so many factors behind the scene that can affect an adaptation, but this is on the same team, with the same manager and coaching staff. Fred did come in with Mourinho, but he still struggled under Ole until fairly recently.

Nice. How did this happen though? If your manager is the worst in the league like some here say, how could he have a good enough environment to thrive?

Some players take time to acclimatise, some don't. You could argue more do then don't. Bruno is playing alongside a player in Fred who is perfect proof that it can indeed take time to settle in and get going.

With Fred it's kinda harder to say because Mourinho didn't wanted that deal to happen in the first place.

I imagine he could fire on all cylinders under Ole or Guardiola within months.

I'm trying to think of the last EPL newcomer to have this kind of immediate impact. Particularly impressive when you consider that he joined in January.

Well deserved, fantastic player, easily the best in the PL right now.
Easily the best player in the PL? That's a bit premature, no? I love him, but I still think Mane, De Bruyne and VVD all have stronger claims at the moment.

You're right, he's not the best by a lot, Igahlo is just behind him.

It's not hard to believe.

Despite all his fan boys arguing otherwise, he's never strung together more than 5 great performances in a row before and he looked good mainly because the rest of the team was playing badly. Put him in a better performing team and he'll look much better, he's the ultimate luxury player who'll make good teams great.

It's just that every human is different isn't it. Few people just adapt to new conditions straight away and few struggle initially and takes time. Forget ManUtd as we are struggling team and the atmosphere this season and last season can't be any more different, take Liverpool as example, Salah was a hit right away but Fabinho took time to adapt, same with Robertson, he started games from december and then there are players like Keita who don't look convincing, all play for same team under same manager.

Hopefully this also makes posters to stop with "If he is still playing in smaller league when he is in mid 20s, then he can't be good enough" type of posts.

Bang on.

Plus, mentality of, not just a player, but as a human comes into play as well. Right from the bat you could see that Bruno had a different vibe to him, dare I say - winners' mentality?
On his debut against Wolves, he dove right in - making himself available at any given chance, not shying away from any challenges and being vocal in general. Some would come into a new league and be rather reseserved in their initial approach.

That is what separates Bruno from others. Not only his talent, but his drive as well and that is just another cog, that was missing from our dysfunctional wheel.

He literally strung 10 world class games together to get Ole his job. This is the frustration on this forum when people refuse to be objective In their analysis.

Some players settle quicker than others, it helps when the rest of the team is so bad that you can't look worse.

It is alot harder playing in the CM role because the prem is played at such an insensity that you get no time on the ball. Fred also struggled with the language etc..

How did everyone in Europe know this lad's release clause since last Summer and nobody, not a single club, make a serious move for him until we went back in last January?

He's f'n ace. Its mad.
Its so weird that no-one besides Spurs were after him.
