Can't believe we are not signing him. WTF is going on?!
We'd sooner let the team suffer than part with cash. Can't believe we are not signing him. WTF is going on?!
No. He is training with Sporting as we speak.there's still time ... right?
Where have you been? Can't believe we are not signing him. WTF is going on?!
I think his amazing goals and assists highlight reel from last season was made in a studio using state of the art cgi and green screens.I struggle to believe that if this guy is as good as he's made out to be, that he wouldn't have had a transfer out of Portugal by now.
Look, I'm not saying he's rubbish, but it seems like Sporting or his agent have been trying to drum up interest all summer and no one seems to have bitten, which I find odd. Especially for us as the deal looks like it was there to be done and if he is that good he'd be an improvement for us.I think his amazing goals and assists highlight reel from last season was made in a studio using state of the art cgi and green screens.
Would you still? For me there was too much smoke for that, doesn't seem like a Gaitan situation to me. My sense is that we were interested but not prepared to meet Sporting's price.I think we can chalk this one up as unsubstantiated rumours
Yep same here, I don't believe in woodwards briefs anymore. He openly lies to create a opinion which has no connection with ground realities.Would you still? For me there was too much smoke for that, doesn't seem like a Gaitan situation to me. My sense is that we were interested but not prepared to meet Sporting's price.
I think it is a price thing and what seems like a novice agent but to be fair the best run clubs have a top players in his position so I'm not too surprised. Seemed a no brainer for us though as he surely cannot be worse than what we have.Look, I'm not saying he's rubbish, but it seems like Sporting or his agent have been trying to drum up interest all summer and no one seems to have bitten, which I find odd. Sporting were asking 70m for him. Its too high. His asking price wasn't that high, sorry but it just looks to me that no one was that interested in him. If he moves at all, it'll be to a mid level team in Spain.
It was the stupidest decision by EPL. God knows what bit them to make such rule. His price will drop after all the English clubs are out of the running. Then some random non-English club will buy him on the cheap. The Premier League deciding to kill themselves by shutting the transfer window early and giving the advantage to other European clubs sounds very much like Brexit.
Not one confirmed bid for Bruno all transfer window.Sporting were asking 70m for him. Its too high.
I find that clause very hard to believe.Isn't that a nonsense though. Cos everytime Sporting reject a bid over 35 million euro they have to pay Fernandez 5 million euro? So if Spurs have had 2 bids turned down that's 10 million euro to Bruno?
It is a one time clause. Once he gets the first 5m it is void.Isn't that a nonsense though. Cos everytime Sporting reject a bid over 35 million euro they have to pay Fernandez 5 million euro? So if Spurs have had 2 bids turned down that's 10 million euro to Bruno?
I think that's it in a nutshell.Would you still? For me there was too much smoke for that, doesn't seem like a Gaitan situation to me. My sense is that we were interested but not prepared to meet Sporting's price.
Doesn't make it untrue that Sporting were asking interested teams for 70m when enquiring. Not one confirmed bid for Bruno all transfer window.
Even a lowball bid.
Nadda.
No one has been interested, the media attention has been based on agent and sporting feeding the information.
I think their president confirmed the clauseI find that clause very hard to believe.
What a tit, makes the fact no one has bid even harder to believe.I think their president confirmed the clause
Its related to the fans attacking the players:I find that clause very hard to believe.
I think its simply the case that the clubs do not value the player as highly as Sporting do. I don't think there is anything particularly weird other than the clause, which is still not anywhere near as complicated as the image rights of Dybala.this seems really really weird. He had a great season last year, is at a good age and valuation of 70m euros is not that bad but no one seems to be going for him. There must be something weird going on with the contract he signed after the fan attack and no one wants to deal with that.
Whenever these 'ON' suffixes start, I just know we're not getting the player.Bruno. more like BruON
I think he meant more that they would pay him 5m EVERY time the bid was made, not just a one off.Its related to the fans attacking the players:

I'm guessing that it seems the club were therefore more generous in offering contracts to players to get them to stay.
More likely a non-existent clause pushed into tabloid media by Super Agent Mendes and Sporting.Isn't that a nonsense though. Cos everytime Sporting reject a bid over 35 million euro they have to pay Fernandez 5 million euro? So if Spurs have had 2 bids turned down that's 10 million euro to Bruno?
Have you seen Fernandes play? Other than YouTube clips?Seriously even if he wasn't a top target Woody needs to go out and deliver this guy just to stem the tidal wave of backlash thats coming his way. We know you are on here listening Woody so just do it to save your ass!
