Could be leaving Chelsea. Possible alternative to Sancho?

Wasn’t he very highly rated only a year ago?

Would definitely take him. They put him on a ridiculous wage to fend off Bayern and looks like a very foolish decision now.

He would obviously cost a lot less than Sancho and he has a lot of talent and potential. Bayern are no mugs so if they rate him he obviously is good. Would be a good transfer for 20-30m.

A permanent deal? Interesting. Can’t see anyone matching the £120-180k a week he’s on.

He’s very good but does have some developing to do. I would definitely take him but the issue is i reckon they’d want £60m+ so we may as well sort a deal for Sancho, even if it’s next year

Can't help but feel he'll end up at Bayern and kick on as their new Gnabry in a few years, he's still just 19.

He'd be an intriguing proposition for us but I'm not sure that Frank would sell us a cold

Doesn’t he play on the left rather than the right?

Certainly was highly rated, doesn’t seem to have played much since his injury. If he does actually play on the right, then could be worth a punt. Chelsea seem to have no issue in selling players to us. He wouldn’t come cheap.

Is he any good?
I’m pretty sure he was the most highly rated of his age group at Chelsea. Unsure if he’s still the same player after a couple lengthy injuries in the last year or so.

I think you might be right here, I haven't seen him in a while though. I can only really remember him In a front 3, but not sure which side.

Know a few chelsea fans who already said we could have him, probably not a ringing endorsement

They've got their shiny new toys, they don't care about developing players in the slightest.

Yea he was also one of the standouts from that U-17 WC winning side that included the likes of Foden, Sancho and Gomes

Tbh, he's probably one of the better alternatives available, its just a question, how much....? if its the 35/40m Bayern offered, yes, but anymore will be stretching it. Hes a talented player but he's still not done much.

Looks to be right footed. Maybe he just wasn't used on the right

Bayern rated him before he ruptured his Achilles tendon. As a person who has ruptured both my left and right Achilles tendon, I can tell you that you aren't the same after that injury. Hudson-Odoi was "the next big thing" prior to that injury. We've barely seen him since, and if Lampard is going to make such a young player available, it makes you wonder why...

Lampard hasn't developed anyone though, it's not like he's a good authority on the subject.

Probably the first name that comes to mind when I see the players you've never seen play well thread
Tend to agree. I saw a few games and I didn't see anything ground-breaking about him. He looked tidy and good 1v1 on occasions but not much else there.

Think Chelsea fans were desperate to have their own youth star and due to that put all their bets on this chap, while Mount was in the shadows putting in all the real work.

Potentially has attitude problems. Threw a sex party with escorts during the lockdown and was accused of rape. If Chelsea are getting rid then they mustn't be too bothered to see him leave and they are giving a lot of chances to young English players now.

It wasn't long ago Chelsea fans were saying he was better than Sancho.

Don't want him. Even if we did, absolutely no chance Chelsea would sell him to their rivals.

Why bother? He’s so raw, just go and get a talented prospect from abroad at a fraction of the price he’d go for.

Just don't let him and Greenwood room together

Money is money at the end of the day and if Chelsea have doubts about his attitude then I think they would take any decent bid wherever it came from.

I know I'm impatient, but I switched off after 3 minutes - that video was a borderline blooper reel.

Money is money for most clubs. But Chelsea are a club in a position to be able to choose who they sell to. They don't need sales to be able to operate or bring players in. They certainly won't ship a player out to strengthen a team they are competing with.

He has been more than willing to give Mount some chances. First at Derby and now at Chelsea
True, Mounts a good example. I still don't think he's done enough to worry why he'd let go CHO. He's bought Ziyech and others for his role. Think he made up his mind a while ago on him. They gave him a massive contract and Bayern were happy to stump a lot of cash for him as an 18 year old, so he's obviously deemed to be talented.

Chelsea have never had an issue in selling to us. If the money is right, no problem.

Yeah, I think it's an honest highlights video of him. By no means the finished article. For an 18/19 year old, he has a lot of qualities there to show he could develop into an incredible winger.

Like I said though, that was all pre-Achilles injury. Perhaps he didn't come back the same player. I know I didn't after I snapped mine. As for the youth, he's also given Gilmour some runs as he slowly gets him into the first team, as well as Reese James. it's not a lot. But way more than previous Chelsea managers...

Didn’t he get quite a serious injury recently? Maybe that’s affected him in some way.

He doesnt look anywhere near the same. Looks a lot more tentaive and slower. And is a lot less aggressive in attacking the fullback.
