I want at least one top team in the group to be able to have a big European encounter. The group we were in last year was a joke, I would be very disappointed if we got Lokomotiv from pot 1.

Give us Bayern, Lyon and Inter Milan.

This. We ain't winning it for shit, so might as well get some matches against big teams.

Last year we played Basel, Benfica, CSKA and Sevilla before we got dumped out.

We're no where good enough to win it, not even as a dark horse. So on the back of that negativity I'd like to draw all the hardest teams possible. At least then we'll see some cracking games at Old Trafford as opposed to losing at home to ''terrible'' sides.

Before reading your post, i also wished we'd get one of Barca/Juve/PSG from pot 1 as it's been a long time since we played one of these teams in a competitive game, Schalke or Lyon from pot 3 and Inter Milan from pot 4 so hopefully it works out like that. Tired of seeing us in CL against teams like Benfica, Basel, CSKA Moscow, Shakhtar etc. I want a strong group with some enthralling games. Also want us to avoid a team like Galatasaray as their fans tend to take it too seriously and are insufferable.

Could either be a very good thing drawing one of the big boys or it could be disastrous. We usually thrive against the better sides but we showed on Monday that we can be torn apart quite easily with our non existent defence.

In every prior year I've been firmly in the 'Just give us the easiest possible group' camp, but for the first time I think I'd just like to see us get a group of death.

We can't win this tournament. From where we are now, with the mood around the club, the lack of tactical clarity, the skillset and mindset of the players etc. we just don't have it in us. So feck it, let's guarantee ourselves a few great nights in some great stadiums against some great sides by getting a great group.
