Sulinho is a perpetual jogging machine.
Brandt makes it 2-0.

Player runs into a blind alley and luckily manages to win a foul.

"These Newcastle players are trying everyone they know to win"

What a counter.

Absolutely loved what Brandt did there, Livramento did well holding himself to stop the easy square ball, but Brandt waits and then takes the bait from Livramento to do one v one and finish well.

What does everyone think of Brandt?
Hit and miss. On his day he can have world class performances, it's just rare. Today he has had that in one match I think, some terrible ideas and also some excellent moves like the goal just now.

He’s been awful. Looks like he wants to try everything himself, misplaces passes makes the wrong decision etc remember when Liverpool fans were moaning over signing Salah over him at the time we were linked.

And he scores as I type that…
Great edit

Love it

Dortmund will do their chances a lot of good if they win this

Means Newcastle needs 4points in the next 2 games to finish ahead of Dortmund and this includes a trip to Paris

I'm so glad these oil states aren't allowed in German football. They don't care about tradition at all.
Not so sure about that. If Red Bull/RasenBallsport can find away around it surely they can as well at some point. I do enjoy the protests from BVB though. The banner, the chants and the throwing of the fake gold bars.

Well, I certainly did not expect Dortmund to get 6 points from Newcastle. Well done, them!

And Donezk indeed win against Barca.... in Hamburg. Feels truly weird to see CL football in that stadium again

I kinda adore that stadium. I lived through the whole transition from the old Volksparkstadion when they bit by bit built the new one and shifted it 90 degrees. Was weird seeing football and American Football on a half done construction site for months. :wenger:
It was one of Germany‘s first „modern“ stadiums.

I'm hopefull that Barcelona keeps messing up and Porto takes the nr 1 spot. Wouldn't mind facing Barcelona in R16 :)

Be watching Celtic to have a look a Matt O'Riley.

Be also watching out to see if John Hartson can say penalty properly yet.
