It looks like the creature on the Chelsea emblem is trying to eat it's own tail. What a twat.

wonder how Chav fans will welcome Rio to Stamford Bridge ... all ears listening after the minority England fans abuse last week.

Amidst squeaky bums.
de Gea

Jones
Ferdinand
Evans
Evra

Nani
Carrick
Cleverley
Giggs

Rooney
van Persie/Hernandez

SUBS: Lindegaard, Smalling, Anderson, Valencia, Kagawa, Welbeck, Hernandez/van Persie.

Only debate is who plays at right back and who partners Rooney for me.

Will be a tough game this, hopefully we pull off a win because otherwise it will be a bit of a shite end to the season.

Hopefully Rafael will be right to play again, although if Jones is fit he's a decent replacement.

I'm worried. Things don't tend to go well for us at Stamford Bridge.

Given the resting of players/rafa's injury:

------------------DDG-------------------
--Jones-----Rio-------Evans----Evra-----
------------Carrick---Cleverley----------
-----------------Giggs------------------
-----Nani--------------------Rooney----
-----------------Hernandez-------------

Seems to be what Fergie will do.

Is there a reason why this is being played so early? Do Brits have Monday off?
Fulham and QPR play later at Craven Cottage so the police would only allow an early kick off for this game apparently...

This will go to extra time at 2-2 and players will go down like flies until Hernandez pops up and crushes some Chelsea dreams.

The Stamford Bridge fear factor is gone, and I go into these matches confident that we can get a result. From the Djemba years until about 2011 when we beat them in the CL, I just couldn't see us winning there at all - but now it's changed. They are still strong at home, but the fear factor is definitely gone. I think we'll see a good performance from our lads on Monday.

Magical Manchester United.
Difficult to predict the line-up, but I guess Giggs, Rooney and Hernandez are certain starters. I guess we will see

De Gea
Smalling - Ferdinand - Evans - Evra
Carrick - Cleverley
Nani - Rooney - Giggs
Hernandez

Chelsea will field something like

Ba
Hazard - Oscar - Mata
Ramires - Lampard
Cole - Luiz - Cahill - Ivanovic
Cech

This could well go to ET IMO, not a lot between these two sides. Just hope we don't see Scholes and Giggs in the same line-up, an accident waiting to happen. Such a shame Rafael has picked up a knock today, we could've used the Nani/Rafael combo on the right.

That won't happen. Scholes hasn't played a game since late January, it'd be beyond insane to start him back in a game like this.

Nani won't start, he would have got some minutes today if that was the case. This is more than likely to be the team
De Gea
Smalling Rio Evans Evra
Welbeck Carrick Cleverley Giggs
Rooney
Chicharito

That looks about right to me. My only quibble would be Welbeck over RvP but I can see the case for letting RvP start on the bench for this one.

Fergie also started Park (and no one will ever know why) in the most important game last season after not giving him any minutes in two months, so anything is possible.

Why would he have given Nani some mins today?
He put him in for the Madrid game off not much background, so why not on Monday?

Rooney, Hernandez, Evra, Giggs, Cleverley, Rio and Nani I expect straight in.

De Gea, Carrick, Smalling and Evans can play twice in 3 days alright.

Because he's been injured since the Chelsea game and it's a bit risky to start him, but we will see on monday, don't think he will start as Giggs was rested today and Welbeck only played 15-20 mins. They will probably be our wingers on monday.

Welbeck started both Madrid games and this one is another big game and he was on the bench today, so the logic is he will start.
But I wouldn't complain if Nani started, just doubt he will.
