Here's the team from the 2-2 draw, we're likely to see a very similar team again:

De Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Evans Evra
Carrick Cleverley
Nani Rooney Kagawa
Hernandez

Lindegaard, Anderson, Young, Vidic, Van Persie 63', Welbeck 76', Valencia 45'

Steady! We've already had (and lost) bigger games this season and we have another, bigger game on thursday.

We've won the FA cup quite a few times recently, it's 3rd on my list of priorities for the rest of the season (top 4 and europe being the other two of course).
Fat Rafa has other ideas!

Giggs/Welbeck in for Kagawa and Smalling in for Rafael, and I think that'll be the team today.

Either that or we won't turn up in the 2nd half.
I fear it will be this. No matter how lacking Chelsea ever are, I just never feel confident going to Stamford Bridge.

As a believer in tradition, I hope Hernandez starts.

I think Lindegaard will start in goal, which I'm not sure how I feel about. Fergie has mentioned De Gea getting wiped out by Nemanja a couple of times since the game on Saturday, so I'll be surprised if he's not rested.

It's true that there are few more dangerous things to collide with on a football pitch than Vidic's face.

Fergie 'goes British' but no Cleverley even on the bench when he should clearly be starting?

It looks like the creature on the Chelsea emblem is trying to eat it's own tail. What a twat.
Admittedly our devil does look like a abstract of Bernie Clifton riding his ostrich with a pitchfork.

Yeh, that curse of Stamford Bridge where Chelsea are reduced to 9 men and you score an offside goal to win.

Christ, I'd love some of these curses.

That's the part that worries me most actually. We really ought to beat them but I always dread playing at Stamford Bridge and they're a better cup team than us so this is one of the few times I don't expect to win. We've generally done well in the big games though.

Sort of hoping Hazard starts the game this time and fades by the second half because he's found it far too easy coming off the bench against tired legs in our last couple of games.

Yes because we've never had a bunch of toss decisions decide a game of ours against Chelsea.

Most of the time we get outplayed there and we need to turn up.

You mean the one time we've had some luck at their place in about 10years?

going to be a touch game today, I hate early matches and 2 games in 3 days will be hard on some of the players.
One thing we dont want is extra time.
The good thing is our squad depth is so much better than Chelsea's.

We will probably only play 3 players from Saturday, where as Chelsea will be atleast 6-7

Hazard, mata, cole, ramires, ba, cahill and luiz didnt start on saturday so chances are they all will today.

Should both teams really be tired though? The players who didn't play on the weekend, they have no reason to be tired - I expect only a select few from each team to actually have an excuse to play bad today.

They are going to play their strongest team. I think for Benitez this is far more important than a top 4 finish, he won't be there next season anyway and he'd rather take credit for another trophy or two (they still have a good chance of winning Europa League) that he'd boast about for the next decade.

This will be a poor game. The spines of both teams will be tired.
How do you figure? Rentboys left their best players out against Southampton.

I'm never confident when they have hazard and Mata against us.

Teams seem to be later and later these days. It used to be almost an hour before kick off to the minute.

Chelsea lineup supposedly:

Cech, Cole, Luiz, Ivanovic, Azpilicueta, Ramires, Mikel, Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Ba

edit: probably not reliable.

I've seen a starting eleven, which is quite surprising. I'm assuming it's bollocks because Rooney isn't in it.

Chelsea will be well up for this game and Rafa will want to win badly, he wants another trophy on his CV.
Games like this scare me, 2 games in 3 days for the players playing both and tired towards the end of the game a simple tackle or streach for the ball, could rule them out for the rest of the season.
