I thought I was going to have to miss the game due to being at work, but I've got a burst pipe under the kitchen sink, so I'm having to take a half day to go home and mop up and wait for the plumber. Telly on.

Silver linings and all that, though I might end up taking a hammer to the pipe myself if we lose.

I didn't buy into the whole Rooney is off talk from around the time of the Madrid game but something is definitely going on now. Something is not right. Unless he is injured of course

Surprised Giggs is not starting. RVP was always going to be on bench. Rooney must be injured.

What's up with Evans?

Welbeck's going to have to be key for this game. He'll have to be the one who links the midfield with the attack because Hernandez will of course be on the defenders' shoulders.

There's some knee-jerk reactions here - replace Rooney with one of Hernandez/Welbeck, and it's basically the team we all expected. I understand Rooney has a huge influence on how we play - but I trust Welbeck.

Considering this is the only thing left to play for this season, I expected the strongest possible side.

Anyway.. trust Fergie.

not impressed with the team, no Rooney or RVP.
I expected Rooney to start and RVP sat on the bench.

I think we can still do it but its going to be a hard and scrappy game.
How? Expecting Chelsea to fold in shock at the non inclusion of Rooney or RVP?

They'll need to invitation to attack.

It'll be over by HT :(

Valencia aside I'm happy with that midfield.

Hernandez plays well against Chelsea so that's not a problem and Welbeck will work his arse off.

The defence is good too considering Vidic can't play two and Rafa is out.

Just got to cross our fingers and hope they play well.

I'm backing Hernandez and Nani to really perform today.
