Can Wilson play in the hole?
I wonder how much of a hinderance having the likes of Giggs and Carrick as assistant coaches has been too the club. Van Gaal was shackled with Giggs and expected to help groom him as his successor. When Mourinho had his dreadful 3rd season at the club, his long time assistant rui faria had gone after leaving at the of the season when we had finished 2nd and in his place stepped in carrick. It's comedy to think a lot of us thought we'd avoided a disaster "Giving it Giggsy", then still end up with an ex player, with other supposed top managers failing here.
Ok not comedy....
LvG had a bigger staff than most managers during his tenure, Jose always had an ex player at the club as member of his staff. I doubt either of those things had been an issue to either of them.I wonder how much of a hinderance having the likes of Giggs and Carrick as assistant coaches has been too the club. Yep, that Rui Faria leaving doesn't get the attention it deserves I think. He clearly made a big difference to things.I wonder how much of a hinderance having the likes of Giggs and Carrick as assistant coaches has been too the club. If you think Ole's bad, Giggs would have been even worse. It's comedy to think a lot of us thought we'd avoided a disaster "Giving it Giggsy", then still end up with an ex player, with other supposed top managers failing here.

Meh. The only thing Rui Faria leaving was indicative of was the impending Jose meltdown. Rats, sinking ship, etc.*I wonder how much of a hinderance having the likes of Giggs and Carrick as assistant coaches has been too the club. Incredible really. It's comedy to think a lot of us thought we'd avoided a disaster "Giving it Giggsy", then still end up with an ex player, with other supposed top managers failing here.

There is a sad irony to that for sure. Ah well, hope Ole at least makes a solid impact in terms of signings and form of key players (Martial, Rashford etc ) before he goes. It's comedy to think a lot of us thought we'd avoided a disaster "Giving it Giggsy", then still end up with an ex player, with other supposed top managers failing here.
