Conor McGregor thread.

He is off the rails for a good few years now imo and I don't he is capable of some great comeback. Feel sorry in a way (know many people don't) as I had a big familly problem involving cocaine and I thought the man was fun and genuine when he started his career.

This now is a different person though. Well, cocaine (at least when you eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner) does that to a man.

Yeah seen them. Hard to do know when you don't know where they originated from just mentioning hotel names and etc
 
I saw the videos doing the rounds today and also a screenshot of a what-must-be radio news bulletin transcript explicitly stating ‘NOT FOR PUBLICATION/BROADCAST’ on the banner and the information regarding said individual presenting himself for questioning to a local Garda station. Anyone else see that one?

But but...I was told in the MMA thread that fighters peak around 30 so this must be him at his peak, regardless of him doing coke constantly?!?

I read a great comment on Reddit after Khabib vs Conor. He basically said that Conor's image and notoriety thrived on being known as the crazy, unpredictable and wild guy, but Khabib completely shat on that image. Losing the fight is one thing, but the way he lost the fight was just incredible to see. Conor isn't the wildest or baddest dude in the game anymore. That perception is gone.

I never perceived him as a pound for pound, greatest fighter in the world. Maybe for a tiny period, but when you've had the likes of GSP, Anderson Silva, John Jones etc there or there about and they all are far better fighters than he'll ever be.

Edit Conor isn't even American? I don't see what this tweet is supposed to prove? Are all McGregors supposed to be related?
 
That thread is the least historical sounding thread I’ve ever read. I don’t mean to comment on the veracity of what that guy is saying, I know nothing of the McGregor clan, might just be a shite writer but it reads as though it was entirely made up. I wouldn't even be sure the brits invaded Ireland based on that

Edit: I seen few WhatsApp stories and alleged video of McGregor after a session. Don't really know what to believe, people like gossiping don't they..
 
I have mates in the Gardai and they back up the stories going around but not sure how much of that is gossip between gardai

I’m no fan of McGregors but you’re being fairly harsh on him there. Think thats a pretty standard statement to make.
 
Just said this in the MMA thread but he throws a drink in his face there surely? Or at worse attempts to glass him. The glass is still in his hand when his goons drag him away.
 
Would love to see Khabib beat him up again, but he probably deserves some time in Mountjoy instead.
