While I chuckled at this, you can't call a whole half of a season an outbreakI thought Newcastle already had an outbreak of some sort? Pretty sure that game is going ahead.

And that 'on the journey' phrase can feck off and all... ChancersYeah I saw that 92% figure earlier on BBC and thought, that's crap.
PL using spin now to not look so pathetic.
Double jabbed is still very low compared to other top leagues.
Still so many on 1 jab or none even.
EL is even worse.
It may not be that crazy, But even if it is a two day break what about travelling. It's easily done for teams out of cups and Europe to catch up.
Problem is, the PL don't care about teams in Europe so they will put United in a game the day before Champs League if they can cos they don't care.
You know it will be United’s 2nd game in 18 days, right? If Burnley v Man United goes ahead on December 30th it will be Uniteds 2nd game in 4 days while it will be Burnleys 2nd game in 18 days.
United will have just played Newcastle on the 27th.You know it will be United’s 2nd game in 18 days, right?

There's probably 2 choicesPL really need to do something or there will be teams that are 5-6 matches or more behind.
Mate, it’s Burnley.2nd game in 4 days if that game goes ahead on the 30th, a clear advantage for a Burnley side whom have lost just 1 of their last 5 games in Old Trafford
Haven't we only beaten them at home about once in 4 seasons now?Mate, it’s Burnley.
But what happens if they start getting cases again after that break? They should have taken the financial hit (they can afford it) and taken a break. This season is just going to be a mess now.
Only one of these choices stops the spread amongst players. The other lets the season continue as it is and putting off the inevitable. There's probably 2 choices
1)Have a break, which takes 3 games out for all teams, meaning all teams have hard work fitting those in later on.
With there being every chance in a week or 2 of more covid issues.
2)Try and get as many games played as possible.
Henderson was in London 2 nights ago for no real justified reason. While a suspension of the league sounds good in theory, there is no guarantee that the players won't get infected during the break with the end-of-year festivities upon us. One could argue the danger of getting COVID is higher if a break is introduced and players are able to move around the country more.
If however every player is made to stick to a pre-defined bubble (social group) then a temporary suspension of the league may be useful. But this warrants a considerable amount of trust in players to do the right thing. The consequent fixture pile up however may make that option untenable.
Clubs could impose fines or punishment for not obeying the bubble rules but they would need to be isolated from family to rule out any alternate risks of being infected. Can’t see them going that far with it.While a suspension of the league sounds good in theory, there is no guarantee that the players won't get infected during the break with the end-of-year festivities upon us. I mean cases in bursts are always going to happen, but a break when cases were peaking to break the cycle would have made the most sense. The UK will be in a much better place daily case wise in a week or two going off SA’s trajectory. But what happens if they start getting cases again after that break?
Maybe but with a younger average population, most scientists suggest UK (older population) could be hit harder and if our peak isn’t until mid/late Jan (and they’re still predicting/guessing yet), a break could see us come out in the peak.I mean cases in bursts are always going to happen, but a break when cases were peaking to break the cycle would have made the most sense. That's the main problem, Bloody Burnley and I was in attendance to see them beat and draw with United in Old Trafford in recent meetingsMate, it’s Burnley.

Yep. Those "deniers" seem to have gone very quiet now.Gosh it’s rife at the moment, I know so many people with it, probably the most since it became a thing. Crazy
There will need to be some morning tests of course, but it'd be pretty surprising for it to be on now, and that Palace correspondent and the others who have "checked with sources" would have red faces!!It's not off just yet.
Maybe my early morning, bloodshot eyes are betraying me but there’s a fella in one of Carragher’s Instagram stories last night who looks a ringer for Gerrard:Tweet
