Bit rich for you to be complaining about people being too obsessed in the Messi/Ronaldo debate. If you're not obsessed with Messi, why do you always act like an expert on all things relating to Argentina and Barcelona?

I often see you arguing with actual Barcelona and Argentina fans about how good Messi's teammates are. Since you don't support either of those teams, I'm curious how you seem to know so much about them that your opinions should count for more than people who actually support and follow them closely. Either you're obsessed with Messi and constantly scrutinizing his career for flaws, or you don't follow him much and should therefore stop acting like the authority figure on Messi's career.

Earlier this season, I even remember you analyzing a pointless Argentina friendly match without Messi to explain how he was holding them back, but clearly something other than an obsession with Messi made you take such an interest in the match .

You know that Leo Messi is 31, and 32 in a months time? Or dont you think hes played at a high level the last 2 years?

In a world without mega-expensive transfers, and assuming that his tantrum has passed, he should return to Madrid a couple of years and retire.
It's not that I want him to come back, but I do not know what's going to bring him a second season there.

See if he wins the Champions or not and more statistical analysis on his decline or not decline.
I don´t mean to understimate Juve, but he was going to have more fun here.

Was it that impressive? Not really imo. It was OK/decent at best campaign. Ibrhimovic scored 38 goals in 2016 season.

He got his 50% pay rise, whether it was worth it you'd have to ask him.

He should go to Paris. If he wins them their first European Cup that'll be a bigger scalp than another with Juve or Madrid.

Plus it's easy football, he can rest till February. Take them past the last 16 knockout rounds, while Neymar takes his annual leave & then him, Mbappe & Neymar should be enough for most QFs and SFs.

You Messi fanboys not only are obsessed with Ronaldo, as reading everything the posters who like him do on the Forum. Very strange behaviour indeed.

How is it strange to read what people say on a forum about the topics I'm interested in? All those comments were on threads relating to Messi, Barcelona, or Argentina.

It's not like I'm following every comment the Portuguese Ronaldo fans say in the Portuguese football thread.

He is already 34, he is not going to win CL every year at Real Madrid all by himself at this age, and there's no way Real can win the league with Barca far ahead of them at the moment. At least spending his retiring years at Juventus will guarantee him trophy every year, and a chance to shine in CL. At worst he may still win 4 Serie A titles (including the one they won this year) before his retirement, at best he may even win a few double and CL.

With Sarri being the most likely candidate to take over at Juve, how do we think Ronaldo will fare under him? I'm sure he'll score more under Sarri than he did under Allegri, but how would Ronaldo be used in Sarriball?

I see people have been making fun of Ronaldo because he was 'outscored by an old man" like Ronaldo is some spring chicken. He's fecking 34 while Quags is 36. Both are in their mid-30s or thereabouts.

In actuality, Ronaldo's legs have endured far more mileage, stress and demand than the Italian's; having clocked almost 1000 career games at the very highest level - to Qualiarella's 390 (who hasn't even played all his games at Serie A level which is still slower paced than EPL & La Liga where Ronaldo played most of his career). So you could even argue what Ronaldo did this season is as impressive as what Quags did when you consider this on top of the fact that he's been doing it for 13+years with Quagliarella just having 1 freak, anomalous season (only scoring over 20+ goals once ever before). Not to mention, Ronaldo is only just playing in Serie A for the first time and needed to adapt.

If Ronaldo had played in Serie A (or Serie B) like Quagliarella his whole career and only amassed 390 career games by 36; he'd likely still have a decade left of playing left in his legs.

He got outscored by a 36 year old who plays for midtable Sampdoria who finished 37 points behind Ronaldo's Juventus. Quagliarella deserves credit.

Let's see how he does next season - he spent a long time at Madrid and has had to adapt, but as of now I don't think the mantra of 'has dominated 3 leagues' can be leveled at Ronaldo just yet.

Mate we're talking about Serie A here - the league's been in decline for almost a decade now.

Yeah, I fully expect Phil Jones to play in premiership until he is 50.

Too late, some on here have already used/ said that, even though it's blatantly not true. He still has a chance to rectify that next season.

Pretty sure it means that it is now moving to the federal level. Doesn't sound like it's over.

If he had played in the earlier Nations League matches he could have been close-ish to 100 now.

Why the feck did we have to lose him, yet fecking City get to keep all of their top players for their prime years? Yes, I'm bitter as feck.

Simply the greatest player of his generation. I am beyond grateful to be able to witness him his whole career. Then to have Messi right behind him both in the same era is just another blessing.
