16-years-old, highly rated. Had 13 goals and 4 assists in 12 games for Spurs' U18s this season and has been fast-tracked to training with Spurs' first team squad with some appearances in the Europa League and a 1-minute appearance in the Premier League.

Last night he got an assist in his Europa League cameo:

Mourinho's comments on him:

https://talksport.com/football/8398...-tottenham-manchester-united-marcus-rashford/

“He is a diamond, a kid with incredible potential,” Mourinho told BT Sport.

“He has worked many times with the first team and that gives him a different personality. He is still 16, 17 soon [in March] and I believe next season he will be a first-team squad player because he has a lot of talent.

“He is going to be a fantastic player and I hope everything around him goes well. He is a striker, a number nine, I have been playing him from the sides similar to Marcus Rashford and he is very clever.”
And speaking in his press conference after the match, Mourinho added: “Dane has incredible talent. I don’t want to speak too much because tomorrow I arrive in the building and the kid’s boss is going to kill me.

“I don’t want that so I don’t want to speak too well about him. I just want to say that he will be 17 next month and I want him to be part of the first-team squad next season.

“So this season he is there and here, goes to training sessions with us and matches with the kids of his age and trains there.

“Next season he has to be a first-team player. Immense talent. Very good physical development.

“He’s very good, he’s going to be very good. I hope that nothing is going to destroy that potential. He must have feet on the ground and head on his shoulders because he has a fantastic talent.

“And to bring on the other two kids is always a pleasure because in the end it’s a motivation for everyone in the academy.”
and Spurs fan reaction:

I'm getting in early and coining the phrase before anyone else:

"The Middlesex Mbappe"
Getting really high praise tonight.

Could be a Rashford scenario as opposed to a Parrott here.
A " diamond" and first team player next season according to Mourinho. I agree but a manager like Nagelsmann would be much better for him.

The last 16 year old to get an EL assist was Mbappe. And if Scarlett makes his debut in the next few games it'll be a similar time as Mbappe made his debut. It might seem an outlandish comparison to make but he's the player he most reminds me of. Whether he could reach level only time can tell.
There is a lot of excitement around this kid isn't there. I so hope he goes on to be a star for us. For Jose to say he will be part of the first team next season, to not even go on loan for a season, is high praise. The next 12-18 months are going to be really interesting following him.
One to look out for? Though Pochettino did say Marcus Edwards reminded him of a young Lionel Messi... and is now playing in Portugal.

There are Blurred Lines between someone becoming the next Rashford or the next Morrison. Feels like if he can Dream Bigger and stays Happy, he could Get Lucky and make people think "I Know Who You Are".
Well done, you deserve a Lapdance!

Hopefully he can turn into a Provider if he keeps Grindin'

He is probably our most exciting talent coming through along with Skipp (who has been fantastic for Norwich this season and will be in first team next year) and Parrott (needs to kick on though).

I think Alfie Devine is the most highly thought of Spurs player in the England youth sides.

No better manager for him to thrive under than Jose.

Thought the same. If there are still Spurs fans who would like to keep Mourinho, then surely the emerging talent that is coming through is a warning sign why it probably isn't the best idea.

We saw how Jose treated Rashford in his time here. He is going to get scapegoated and be benched for no reason than Jose being told he should start.
Like when he layed into Rashford and Martial when Jose dropped Lukaku that one time.
