No the difference is Ole knew how big the job is and you didn't. Ole surrounded himself with club men, Moyes pushed out the club men.

Yeah Moyes did praise Ole for doing a really good job at United.Moyes actually praises Ole and United a lot in the press conference but the media love to highlight the one sentence to mock him, because it could always elicit responses like the ones happening here and everyone is falling for that.
If the tweet or the title says "Moyes: Ole is doing a really good job", will there be as many retweets or shares as it is right now? No because there is no talking point and no way to tease him that way, which is what people love to do and the media know it.

I've said this before, but the Caf should register as a member of the press, so we can have someone be present at press conferences and ask the questions journalists don't ask. Which in this situation should be something along the lines of what you said.Any journalist hearing that oft repeated "time" line from Moyes should ask why on earth he should get more time when he turned champions into 7th?!
Beyond anyone's worst nightmare that was. He even let his old gang Everton finish above us!
Press conferences are a joke, the Journo's are told what they can/can't ask at the start and are just banned if they upset the apple cart.I've said this before, but the Caf should register as a member of the press, so we can have someone be present at press conferences and ask the questions journalists don't ask. We'd probably get banned in a few months but those few months would be refreshing to see.
And this season as well.To be honest, I don’t see the problem with his comments this time around - other than taking the bait of course. The man doesn’t have class, we already knew that. Speaks highly of United, he could say we are now a shadow of our former self - he didn’t do that. He is also right to a certain degree, Solskjær kept his job even though we went on a pathetic run last season, much worse than the one he ever managed. Circumstances were different too, when he stunk up the place we were still on our high horses - now we’re comfortably not.
I don’t fear West Ham at all, and if we feck up, we really don’t deserve to play in the CL regardless.
Their tranfers are horrible when you look at it. Only those two I mentioned actually make sense but in the past they bought some trash haven't they? And the only good buys come from Moyes, instead of those technical, possession-based managers which the West Ham board likes.
With time and money he would have put that record straight I think. He showed better big game stats in CL. Maybe he would have got it up to 50% win rate with a few more tweaks. Also Moyes record here in the big games was absolutely fecking horrendous. That was another major reason he was sacked.
Lost home and away to City , two heavy defeats
Lost home and away to Liverpool,
Draw and loss to Spurs
Draw and loss to Chelsea.
Draw and win against Arsenal
We even managed to lose home and away to fecking Everton! With them gloating and taunting Moyes the entire time.
I really hope you're a WUM and you don't honestly believe that. With time and money he would have put that record straight I think. He showed better big game stats in CL. Maybe he would have got it up to 50% win rate with a few more tweaks.
That's because the club adopts a wrong philosophy. They want to play technical, possession football too much but that just doesn't suit a midtable side. The likes of Wilshere are never as useful as Kouyate, and the likes of Anderson, Lanzini, Fornals are never as effective as Arnautovic. Moyes proved it once in 17/18 and they made the same mistake again by hiring Pellegrini.Their tranfers are horrible when you look at it. Only those two I mentioned actually make sense but in the past they bought some trash haven't they?
I almost forgot they still play Noble every match and that speaks for itself.
They should give Sean Dyche a call. He'd be well suited for them.
I do think Moyes would have improved with time and get top 4. Still worth sacking him since he would never get us to the top.I really hope you're a WUM and you don't honestly believe that.
I think he still holds that infamous record of no away wins at United, Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal. By now it must be about 60 attempts. Also Moyes record here in the big games was absolutely fecking horrendous. That was another major reason he was sacked.

Did you really had to say that today????I think he still holds that infamous record of no away wins at United, Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal. By now it must be about 60 attempts.
The biggest disgrace of the Moyes era, is that it has triggered this mad revisionism that Fergie left a really weak clapped out squad, and left because he knew it'd take major surgery to put right.I've said this before, but the Caf should register as a member of the press, so we can have someone be present at press conferences and ask the questions journalists don't ask. He's barely won at Old Trafford, so it should be okDid you really had to say that today????
Thanks.
What tactical battle? This was just a case of a poor performance.Moyes totally won the tactical battle today. He is showing he still got the quality to manage at the highest level.
That was caused by West Ham letting us have the ball in not so dangerous areas. What tactical battle? This was just a case of a poor performance.
Nah. We were just bad. Just as we were against Chelsea, and just as we were against Southampton (Palace too tbh). Nothing to do with any kind of tactical battle. That was caused by West Ham letting us have the ball in not so dangerous areas.
They also knew how to hurt us down the wings and could have had another from a set piece.
They got the draw that they needed so job done.
The added bonusI really hope we stick it to them.
I'd love West Ham to go down. Can't stand them.
He parked the bus until they knicked a goal. Hardly a masterclass.Tactically Moyes did very well today. He got his WH team perfectly set-up in central areas.
Cramming our play effecting. He's seen, especially with Shaw out, how ineffective we are when we have to go alittle more direct out wide ,which with Williams and TFM lack of offensive quality on full-show.
Imagine getting out done in a tactical battle by The Chosen One.
From a biased United pov, sure.Moysie would love to throw a spanner in the works!
Seems so long since his reign of terror at United.
The added bonus

They needed one point to secure their stay in the league. It would have been idiotic to go all out for it and risk conceding on counters.I'm very grateful that he was West Ham's manager today - we looked like we were there for the taking at times today, but they didn't act on it. The point might yet get us something this season, so I thank him for his approach today.
