You get a pool of players you didn't usually get. For example Croatia. We rarely had players from our league in the NT, now we do. Because, our league became more competitive.

Agree with Portugal. Don’t know too much about the other leagues you mentioned, I’ll take your word for it.

Tournament winners tend to peak late. There's always a team like Italy who come out of the blocks sprinting, everyone labels them favourites and suddenly their performances drop. Always happens.
