No team in particular.
I hope Denmark gets into the semis , so they can knock-out England later.

United minus the Glazers
Ukraine won’t be an a terribly easy ride. Last 3 competitive outings, the English have won 1 (a marginal 1-0 win) and drawn 2 with the Ukrainians.

It would be an away game for England too with minimal (if any) home support.

I would love to see Denmark get to the final after what happened to Eriksen and the momentum and emotion they’re playing with who knows it could well take them there.

If England beats the Ukraine in Rome, I have a hard time seeing them losing in Wembley to Denmark or the Czechs. Nothing is impossible as the Swiss have shown, but just very unlikely.

Any news on Ukraine's injuries? At least a couple of their players went off injured in extra time yesterday.

Hoping for something like this for us. Phillips is a yellow card magnet so would keep him out.

After getting eliminated by Greece during our golden generation I believe we can get our Greece moment this Euro. Denmark will be favourites but not bigger than Netherlands last round for sure. Expecting more patient pragmatic football with some good moments going forward.

BTW real stupidity to play this in Baku.

In my opinion there is one of a few scenarios here:

1. Southgate knew the transfer was ongoing and felt he was a bit distracted.
2. There’s pressure from the FA and they want to encourage the best English players to play in their league.

Although it could of course be tactical and Harry Kane had been in Southgate’s ear and they’ve felt he’s been a bit isolated so far with no real supply so against a Ukraine side which is going to be playing a low block and rather than having the likes of Sterling and Saka who like space to run into and in Sterling’s case, can be a bit selfish, he’s going to put Grealish left and Sancho right and give Kane plenty of service in and around the area.

I have had Three lions and Vindaloo on loop since waking up, face paint on and I've deleted Chernobyl from the Sky box.

I'm ready.

Today I want to see England to be more adventurous in attack and put Ukraine on pressure early on, Grealish must start, and I don't mind either of Foden or Saka, but I would love to see Sancho given a chance here.

I expect a back 4 of Walker, Stones, Maguire and Shaw, with Rice & Phillips as holding CMs, Sterling as LW and Foden or Saka at RW, with Kane upfront, and this game I expect Phillips to help more in the attacking phase and get into the box and leave Rice to sit Infront of the back 4.

I like the team but I’m left wondering what Jack Grealish has to do.

Grealish is better coming on as a sub with like 30mins left to help generate some energy into the game.

In Gareth we trust. Everything he's done has worked so far

Another way of looking at it is that Gareth prefers to wait until the 60th minute before we start scoring. Had Grealish started vs Germany I doubt we would have needed to wait for the 75th minute.

Personally I don't think Grealish's role is in any way diminished by not starting - we've seen already how important substitutions have been in this tournament. Everyone will be talking about him one way or another.

Surprised reading this. I assumed England had won it already.

Fingers crossed they stay out of trouble,
Yeah, I don’t really want to see a Henderson-White double pivot against Denmark (if we get there). Surprised he didn’t take Ward-Prowse to be honest. We only have 3 defensive midfielders (and Ben White whose a CB) seems a bit light considering he’s playing a 4231.

Why do rival fans get so arsey about England fans being optimistic but not other countries? We’re allowed to be excited we’ve not won anything for 55 years & we have a chance here. Nobody is acting like we’ve already won it.

Be ok if he didn't insist on playing 2 in every game

Expect Ukraine will sit back and have 10 men behind the ball and make it very hard for England. Expect a 1-0 win.
