Why would we sell him when ETH is going to dropkick De Gea on arrival at Carrington?

Sell Hendo and sign Sanchez for 40m. DDG and Sanchez can mix it for one year and DDG can leave next year for free. Sign a backup and we are set with Sanchez.

Too good to be true. We would probably end up giving new contracts to both Hendo and DDG.

£40m

If we can get £30m similar to Ramsdale it'd be a good deal. Crap that it's Newcastle though, he's the type of player that will help cement them in the top 8 or so.

I'd take £10m and getting his wages off the books. Bang average goalkeeper that has never shown any signs of being anything else (yes, even at Sheffield Utd).

Really? Was he not undeniably brilliant on loan? I think he’s a good keeper but we need to always be striving for the best in the world really if we can and selling players for decent money is part of that

I think we’d be better off putting him in ahead of De Gea, but £40m would be hard to turn down.

I saw a fair bit of Sheffield United while he was there (especially during "project restart") and he conceded so many soft goals. He just isn't good enough at keeping the ball out of the net, and doesn't have any other standout attributes to make up for it.

£40m sounds about right then...

He has to have something? Fairly sure he made the PFA team of the year at some point and with a small club. Utd are paying him over 100k, Chelsea offered us 50 and Newcastle are offering 40. He must be a very good or potentially very good player

The only time he's made PFA team of the year was for League One.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who know a hell of a lot more about football than I do that rate him, I've just really never seen it with him at all.

Sheffield United managed to convince folk that Ramsdale was crap mind, and that was after already looking the real deal down with Bournemouth.

Now I don’t think Henderson is the same quality as Ramsdale, but it’s definitely worth remembering they were not a good team, particularly once they lost the crowds.

Somebody Make this make sense please.

We should cash in if we can. We'd be best off starting fresh with our goalkeepers, but expect it'll be a while before we look at bringing any new ones in.

$40M for our next worldclass goalie in the making? Feck that. $80m from Newcastle.....but we can strike a deal at $60m okokok?

Yeah push them for all we can get, let's face it they aren't exactly short financially

Undeniably brilliant is pushing it a tad!

I think he is a good promisin gyoung keeper, but people talking about having him isntead of DeGea next season is a bit strange.Appreciate the contract situation and age. But there was only an argument for this when DeGea was going through an wful spell, whether you like him or want a more modern keeper with the feet, DeGea has had a good season...and either way Henderson is definately not the modern keeper with his feet either.

100% we should sell Henderson, he wants to be a first choice keeper, he isnt gofo enough in my opinion to be our frist choice long term keeper, Ben Foster for example was a much better keeper. He is also not the modern keeper some crave. £40m seems unlikely buy £20-30m for a player who doesnt want to be here on the bench, is good business I think, there are short term options lke JOhnstone or older experienced keepers as back up or other young keepers we coul dprobably by for less anyway

Would be a positive to move one of either Henderson or De Gea on. Ideally both and get Sa in!

Another decision that will tell us whether the club has learnt from past mistakes.

He's just moved in, give him a chance

One acadamy player for another. Johnstone is definitely a good number 2. Sign him up and pay him normal wages 60k per wk is good.

He wouldn't make it in EPL. Serie A or Ligue 1 with PSG would suit him.

Newcastle United are considering a £40m deal for Dean Henderson. Sources believe it is likelier Henderson will leave on loan as he is contracted until 2025 and on £110,000-per-week #mulive [@samuelluckhurst]

If it’s a loan with obligation to buy, then we should go for it. Newcastle spent a lot in January so not sure they can pay the amount without sports-washing some money.
£40m?!

Sign the papers and sell.

Deal right now if £40m has actually been offered. I don’t think he’s that good and he’s hugely benefited from playing in that Sheff Utd team, with their three centre backs. Remember how much goalmouth space he gave Salah on a 1-on-1 once?

Newcastle can feck off with the loan too, especially when the entire world knows they’re state funded.

we should sell him and get Robert Sánchez or Illan Meslier for cheap

Then we should learn from the dortmunds / everyone else in the world and say we need 50 from them. And the. Offer them de gea for 80

How so? Selling to an up and comer or not making a good deal

35-40 million would do nicely!

ETH has bigger fires to put out than the goal keeper situation. DDG will be in net so He Derain needs shifting.

I'd only sell Hendo if, as you say, we get a very good replacement with the money we get. I'd be happy with Martinez or Sanchez or, for that matter, Fabianski who's had an excellent season. Kasper S wouldn't be a bad bet either. The most likely, however, is Nick Pope because it looks to me as if Burnley will be the one to drop.

Knowing us, we'd opt for Pickford... :0(
