Why are people getting wound up? Before a number of games was specified, the assumption was the OTB would kick in at the end of the season - nobody got triggered then did they?
no. you’re wrong and your club is absolutely everything that’s wrong in football.

He's contracted up until '25 (with a year option). I'm sure this will get done, they clearly want him. We just need to be creative. A loan fee to be paid in case of a buy-obligation not being met. A financial penalty for games sat out when he's fit. It's a huge season for him, I cannot imagine him going there if there's the slightest chance of him not being first choice. With his out-of-this-world self belief he must be thinking he'll edge out one of Pope/Pickford/Ramsdale and go to the Euros. Probably as first choice. So he's not going to go there without guarantees.
The first bolded part is pretty logical to be fair. Something like a £10m loan fee, £15m obligation to buy after 20 games for example would be pretty reasonable.

The second bolded part isn't so reasonable. People took that interview last year completely wrong. It showed a complete lack of self-belief rather than the arrogance it was taken as.

His ego was so big that he refused to sit on the bench for Man Utd, Man Utd granted him a loan and yet he keep bad mouthing the club as if he is a world class player and is above the club.

Fast forward now he can't he even get a decent bottom club in the PL to buy him.

Don't forget regarding the 30 game thing he can't play v us twice so basically just need to drop him for 7 games. Across the season they could easily do that.

Not to mention possible injuries or suspensions through the year. No chance United agree to a 30 game clause. Maybe somewhere in the region of 10-15. Or no clause replated to games played. Just an obligation.

But obligation to buy is simply putting off paying the transfer for a year. That’s all it is. You’re arguing he’ll start every game anyway so there is no risk, you’re basically buying him now. So he’s just like every other player you buy, everyone can get injured at anytime
Henderson spent his rehab at Forest. The physio team will know whether he is going to be fully fit and if there is a risk of breaking down and will have advised accordingly.

Henderson should have been an issue resolved years ago. Instead, it's dragging to this day and causing trouble. Do everything possible to ship him off, though by the looks of it only Forest are really interested. He needs to leave now.

Think if they want a loan with option to buy then whatever the transfer fee is should be half now, half when it kicks in. That way both clubs have equal risk in this. Call it a loan fee or whatever.

No other buyers? Would have thought he'd get attention from at least one more PL team. Perhaps teams have capable scouting department and know they can do much better for the price, to get poor man's Jordan Pickford.

How hard would it be to get 15+5 in instalments from them now, anyway?

Then why would we accept your offer?
Plus it was a thigh injury, not sure that’s a recurring injury that plagues a players career.

I think that's mostly because he himself seems to really want to go back to Forrest.

Have patience pretty confident this would be done and fee would actually be Guaranteed 20 m or more and further add ons .

He had a further operation after that so there may have been other things going on. He was still on crutches at the end of May even though the injury was in January.

Bit bemused we're not able to just sell him.
Your manager linking the sale to the onana purchase wasted a fair few weeks. We were asking a similar question in June - Why can’t we just buy him FFS!

It's pretty obvious that wasn't the hold up else the transfer would've already happened by now.

Wow... Man Utd is only asking for a reasonable fees of 20M for a young player who think that he will be the future England's No.1 but Forest still refusing to pay? He also comes with English tax. What's Forest thinking? I know his salary is high for GK but still they will have the future England's No.1.

Pay the bloody 20M and get it done.

Loan to buy after 5-10 games should see him gone in January window. Not liked the bloke since his interview disrespecting the club and thinking he is better than he is. One good season in an obviously over achieving Sheffield United team doesn’t make him United material. Mid table keeper at best.

We could also sell him to any other club ready to pay up.

The problem is other than Forest no other club is interested in him. At one time, we have many fans think that he should be the first choice at united taking over from DDG. :wenger:

We are apparently talking to Arsenal about Matt Turner. Either we are putting pressure on United to agree a deal for Hendo or we’ve just had enough of dealing with you lot?

Or there is a third scenario as well highly unlikely but still plausible United have told Forest to either put up or Shut up .

A bit like us telling Spurs we will sign Weghorst instead if they don't accept our 27m offer for Harry Kane.

Didn’t the Telegraph report a few weeks back that you want two keepers this summer?
