Good post. This is also exactly what has pointed to as his downfall at Cardiff. The football he wants to play depends on having players with certain qualities and a certain mindset. Cardiff and Ole was just an incredible bad match.
Yes. It was all a bit too ambitious for their fans to accept. Banking on all of Macheda, Eikrem, Fabio, Daehli, Zaha to establish themselves in the PL at the same time in just one season was naive, but then again they couldn't exactly buy expensive players. It could have worked but it didn't and after that Ole tried to act like a standard championship manager and everybody, including him could probably tell it wasn't for him.

I think it's pretty clear what we're trying to do, it's just having the personnel, fitness and coaching for it.

The key features are playing out from the back, and pressing opponents hard. Counter-attacking too, obviously.

We've been unable to do it effectively all the time.
