So this would be for the hush money to the pornstar?

Was he not supposed to get indicted for something else? This hush money thing is new is it?

I'm sure the most-discussed investigation was something else. Hard to keep track of this stuff.

trump is the kind of person who could be arrested and chucked into prison for the next 30 years and regardless of what it was for, he’d deserve it.

But is this the thing that your man Garland has been looking into the whole time? I'm sure it isn't!

There’s at least three other state & federal investigations currently ongoing. This current one is considered to be the least serious of the four.

I imagine the domestic terror alert level is sky high right now with RWNJs plotting something.

This one is little more than a slap on the wrist, it's a fine and a minor crime, not something he's going to be getting a jail term

Next one is probably going to be Georgia, that's a lot more serious and then there's the Mar-a-Lago one - both those will involve jail time if found guilty I would think

Because book bannings, Disney intimdiation, and drag queen crackdowns are much more important than commenting on Trump

I swear Republicans need to give their heads a wobble for all the bitching they make about Trump being arrested soon. They better look at the following names:

  • Jacques Chirac
  • Nicolas Sarkozy
  • Ehud Olmert
  • Chen Shui-bian
  • Ma Ying-jeou
  • Chun Doo-hwan
  • Roh Tae-woo
  • Park Geun-hye
  • Kakuei Tanaka

What do those aformentioned names have in common? They were indicted in very functional democratic governments. I swear that many people in the United States are in dire need of watching and learning from many countries with functional democracies.

John Edwards, former Senator and candidate for President/VP, was indicted for using campaign money to cover up an affair and an illegitimate child. Republicans have no legs to stand on in this case, but they'll make the argument because the press will let them without challenge.

Don't think it matters how many examples you give them. They want to find that right moment where either themselves or their followers tip over to political violence. They always talk in terms of "if you do X.....you'll force us to do Y". They know just naked political violence is not palatable to a broad enough population (yet), so you get this shit continually.

However, make no mistake this is going in a seriously bad direction. The leading candidate for the GOP talks openly about how his entire campaign is about "retribution", he is much more willing to ask people to go out into the streets to "protest". The VERY flimsy guard rails holding back naked political violence are being chipped away continuously.

Check out some of the Legal AF podcasts, if you haven’t already. The payments are a misdemeanor but because they are meant to cover up another crime, they rise to a felony. It’s the lowest grade of felony, but still a felony that carries a maximum 4 year sentence (although there is no minimum mandatory). It’s also a test for how the other 2 cases proceed against him. A judge could easily sentence Trump to a house arrest confinement with various stipulations he would probably flout. He could also get jail time, a fine, or nothing at all even if convicted. But it’s going to be very bad for Trump, even this minor felony.

This couldn't be happening to a nicer block  I wouldn't be surprised if the only reason Trump is aware this is coming, is because he was given the option to come in quietly on the day to avoid the media, however opted to shout from the roof tops instead.

Has something happened? Thread title suggests he's been arrested?
It’s almost like you’re in the right place to find that out without asking a question.
