Eden Hazard | "It's time to enjoy life drinking beers"

@Vato @carvajal are you just gonna waiving white handkerchief?
To be fair, the day Real Madrid fans are considered "real fans." It's time to stop.

"Spoilt Brats" would be a better description. These are the "fans" who were chanting "Mbappe" at the unveiling of Hazard. So entitled it beggars belief. The way Madrid do their shopping through the media in order to unsettle players at other clubs is also a disgrace (something that also happens a lot at Barca and certain Italian clubs).

The club as a whole was best summed up when Ferguson said "I wouldn't sell that lot a virus." In the end his loyalty to his player outweighed the opinion he had of Madrid, which is much to his credit.

Real Madrid fans are real fans? most I meet online are elitist morons who know very little about anything outside of Madrid.
You are right. Before Modric I only knew your club thanks to Ardiles and Ginola :p

Didn't he then sell RvN and Beckham, who at the time, were at the peak of their powers?

Of course he must say nice things about his new club/league.....but that is too much bullshit

He's spot on there to be fair, they are so fanatical hence the massive away support you see at La Liga games all the time :nervous:

Both of which happened before the Ronaldo incident.

Also, he sold them Beckham and RvN because he didn't want them anymore. The Ronaldo transfer was certainly one he didn't want to happen, and he was not impressed one bit with the way Madrid conducted their chase of our player.

I've been to a few Clasicos and every time the away team scores I instinctively look at the lineman for a flag as the complete silence is bizarre.

Is he even playing? The last la liga games I looked at Madrid’s starting XI I didn’t see his name or even on the subs bench

Most likely Americans
Yea, American soccer fans are elitist.. far from. We know a thing or two about the teams we follow because the teams we follow play on the other side of the globe and not knowing anything about a team you follow that’s half way around the world, especially with the plethora of major sports in the USA, would make one look like an absolute idiotic hipster. Who hurt you?

Eh? The guys talking about the Real Madrid fans he's come across online - and unless he can speak Spanish, he's mostly met them on some English medium. Thus they're most likely not Spanish and actually American (the largest English speaking nation in the world).

Forums like juventuz that people mock on here, are American Juventus fans.

Hazard can keep talking to cover up his poor start at Real, at the hilarious expense of Chelsea. If the Real fans turned on cr7 they will turn on Hazard. Can't go missing for months never mind a run of games like he always does. He can be devastating on his day but rarely keeps his form.

And YOU said they must be American off the basis of ? Because English isn’t the most widely used language in the world spoken by 3+billion people and is only used in a nation of 300mil. Got it.

Poor start? Hasn't he played 1 game?

The virus comment was made during the Ronaldo saga, long after RVN and Beckham. Those two were also comfortably past their peak when we sold them (peak based on actual performances, not on some idea of peak age), hence why we wanted to sell them.

The virus comment was directed at Calderon and how he did business (read SAF's book), he's got the utmost respect for Perez and the club.

Also RvN and Becks were still great at the time, RvN was the top scorer in La Liga. Becks got here at the wrong time, but he was in good shape even when he left, and it was his decision to call it a day.

Perez is even worse.
According to Jimmy_Bond?

He's in great -not just good- terms with literally any club out there. They all speak highly of him.

Also maybe read SAF's book for starters?

Hazard knows what's up.

He's playing in a real league now where players can actually control a football.

And real fans who won't accept mediocrity. None of that get behind the team no matter what bs

Have you ever supported a team that's actually from your town or city? Do you turn your back on a family member if they go through a bad moment in their life?

Of course not. Madrid fans are over-entitled brats, who for some reason believe that they deserve to support a team who wins everything, always. If not, they start doing vile things and making people's lives miserable, all for the sake of football. If you think that's the definition of a "real fan," or indeed a "real person," then good luck to you.

Really wish we could wash our hands of such "fans" at United.

Hazard said a few weeks ago that he wanted to impress and in this interview he seems to make reference to the daily pressure.
I don't think he intended to underestimate the English fans but rather to compliment the sensation of immediacy of Madrid.
In short, he is looking forward to test himself with the highest demand, and as a fan I am happy that the moment has finally arrived. Today is the perfect match to shine or get his first serious reviews

Pretty clear what he thinks about Madrid though isn't it? Something also very clear from this article taken from the time...

Like I said. Ferguson saw Real Madrid for what they are.
That's a lot of backtrack from your original post (Perez).

As I said Calderon pissed SAF off, hence the comments at the time, but if you actually read his book or his other comments -like when SAF was young and watched European Cups- he's got nothing but good words to say about Perez and the club.

I get players need to say the right things and try to get the fans onside but this is like saying United are the best team in the PL at the moment. From games I've been to in Spain, I'd say the fans are comfortably 'worse' than PL, Bundesliga and definitely Serie A. Real at home to Atleti or Barcelona is huge but I guess he's yet to experience the games where the ~80k capacity drops to the 40's

I'd not be suprised if this was an agenda pushed by the bosses at La Liga - their desperation with this folly idea of being a bigger draw/better league than the Premier League is borderline obsession. Getting one of and at certain points in recent history the best player in the Premier League moving to Madrid and have him say what a great atmosphere/fan support there is in Spain compared to the England addresses an area where Spanish football sorely lags behind English football.

 you've got much imagination.
It would be a great conspiracy.
Tebas controlling the public statements of the players, as if they were puppets
