ok, i'm putting my foot down!

after Nate's star was clearly waning, i started a belated 2nd Test thread in the girl's room on wednesday night and salvaged us a draw!

so here it is....

( :nervous: )

i know of three that like me...altho GB could go either way on this subject.

he doesn't seem to like cricket threads in the General.

Basically because the English luck has to change regarding the toss some day and also because various factors have contributed to us losing some of our players (suspensions/injuries/personal problems)

A draw is best we can hope for, and its always dangerous to play for a draw

I remember England doing it in a test against us the last time we came here and Waqar had a field day...he was a man possesed

Its a win-win situation for him.
If he wins he can brag, if he loses then he can say predicted it right

Did i brag last time???

Waits for thread to be hijacked by Indians or turning into a Lara/Sachin debate

We have a 50% chance of losing the toss again.

What sort of pitch are we likely to get. I'm guessing it will be very flat.

The pitches so far haven't even turned much.

We already have the King of Sp(a)in.

Make a bomb threat...get the wicketkeeper or someone to moonwalk on pitch using puma blades ;)

On a serious note, Englands batting has been erratic so far...if it clicks this test then its trouble for us

Younis Khan's gone home according to TalkSport. . . his brother died this morning.

They've not got many decent batsmen left. They're all dashers.

That's good news, not his brother's death of course. That wouldn't be cricket.

They've also included Mohammed Asif a young pace bowler.

Ever heard of him? Hope he's not one of those express Pakistani bowlers.

I bet he's fast medium though.

Thats part of reason why i think England will win this test

Khan is a huge blow

Its the batting thats the problem...some 'lesser/bit part' players need to have the game of their lives here

I've not heard of him. I'm not concerned about their bowling, it's our batting that worries me.

Shouldn't be though considering we've played on featherbeds.

I think this will be a draw though.

I've heard this will be the most batsman-friendly (read 'draw') pitch of the series - EXCEPT there might be a tiny bit of seam movement (not sure when).
