Hello, Bee. When did cricket become popular Stateside?
It isn't. Only at my house. Although there are some cricket clubs in cities with Indian, Pakistani, etc. populations, like New York. Also, there is a satellite channel - One World Sports - which shows live cricket (the Sky Sports feed) so there must be considerable interest.

Pakistan don't seem to have a plan here.

These days you can't win a majority of ODI games unless you get atleast 300.

Pakistan need a major rethink about how they approach this form of the game. They remind me of England before Bayliss.

Morgan's lucky to have had a decent series or Bairstow would be breathing down his neck.

Form is temporary, bans are permanent.

India and West Indies played a two match Twenty20 series in Florida last week. The second game was completely washed out though. Might be the start of international cricket tournaments in the States.

Good start & some very nice shots played. This is the sort of ODI cricket we need to be playing more of.

Oh the habitual collapse begins....

Excellent review though. Wood should be in the Test side too.

He's class but I fear his test career will be short-lived. The workload he puts on his dodgy left ankle from the shortest run-up ever won't do him any favours in the longer run.

Good win but as expected, we've been smashed in the ODIs.

Really need a rethink on how we approach them. The days of building an innings slowly & settling for 280-320 are long gone, now 350 is a par score on most wickets. Our test side has really come on the last 2-3 years, the ODI side needs to improve significantly. Imad & Sarfraz's batting were about the only positives in the series for us.

Credit to England. Over the last 18 months they have been a real force in the shorter format & they continue to excite with so many aggressive players. A very nice turnaround as before the NZ series, their approach to ODIs was as prehistoric as ours. Expect them to win the T20 game as well.

Nice win to round off the tour!

Imad seems a good player. Sarfraz should captain ODIs too.

:D Just now found OWS with the ENG/PAK game on my lineup. 1st time I've ever seen cricket on telly in the US. Sure, if I subscribed to an Indian TV channel I'd get it, but this is great!

Test squad to Bangladesh: Cook (c), Hameed, Root, Ballance, Moeen, Stokes, Bairstow, Woakes, Rashid, Broad, Anderson, Buttler, Finn, Wood, Batty, Ansari, with Duckett as a 17th player.

Batty is a real surprise. Isn't he like 40? Thought they would have gone with someone younger like Leach.

Don't like the fact (again) we're rushing kids in.

Tbh im struggling to work out what the trsm for the first test should be.

Hameed, Cook, Root are a certainty as are Broad and Anderson at the other end but other than that I have no idea.

Am worried they're going to make the mistake of playing Bairstow as a specialist batsman.

Would like to Wood back in the test team but the way Woakes played vs Pakistan can't drop him, think we need 2 spinners so I don't think there is room

Hameed
Cook
Root
Ballance
Bairstow
Stokes
Ali
Woakes
Rashid
Broad
Anderson
