First time since LVG I've actually seen an identity in our football game. Can't believe there were people that thought we should've kept Ole.
The transformation so far has been incredible. Last season's team was the team I've disliked the most since watching Man Utd, and this season is easily my favourite post-Fergie.

Our players are so sharp and confident in comparison to last season that it's unreal. Of course the new arrivals make a huge difference but plenty have stepped up too.
Identity means jack shit if it's boring and leads to nothing. Luckily for us neither is true now.
I want to be careful with predicting the future, but the period starting from game week 3 and up until now is the best it's been since Fergie retired.
I'm excited for the City game next week. Will be the ultimate test of where we are at. We are flying in form, fitness with the group seems great, and the distractions are gone, and it's at Old Trafford. Hopefully no injuries next 2 games. Huge chance for a statement game against probably the best team in Europe.

A bit worried the new owners would have their own plans for the manager post and look for the first opportunity to give him the boot. Hopefully they have more sense than that because this is the best manager we've had since Sir Alex and if given the necessary time & financial backing, he'd get us back where we belong.

That’s the only worry I have as well. The players and the fans are right behind ETH and I just hope the potential new owners don’t come in and disrupt that. It’ll just set us back to square 1 all over again. Needs to be backed financially and given the necessary time as you say.

Given the state of the squad when he took over and the opposition he's faced in the league, that's a terrific record.

We still have a few things to do.
1) We need to get our attackers up and running. Sancho, Antony, Martial, Garnacho, Amad and whoever our next striker is will be good enough, however we need to ensure that we get them to perform consistently in the way Rashford has done so far.
2) We need to ensure that the possibility of us not playing at this level in a game is very slim. This for me means ensuring adequate depth. Players like Elanga, Mctominay, Fred and VDB indicate a massive drop off when they play. This doesn't mean that we need a full squad of world class players; but we will need a squad where major determinants of that position can be replicated. For example, neither Fred or Mctominay can hold. They both are poor in their off the ball movement to provide a passing option for the defence, they are both poor at holding during a counter and their positional sense is pretty poor. For a holding midfielder, there aren't many who can come close to Casemiro, but anyone backing him up should at least be able to do these things. If we can ensure that for almost all the games we play, the players playing that role can provide at least 80 percent of what the manager wants for that role, we will have so much success. Fergie used to have the likes of Butt, Blomequist, Solksjaer, Brown, O'shea, Fletcher, Park and Sherringham. Even if Keane or Scholes were injured for a few games, the quality barely dropped. Yes Butt didn't have the attacking prowess of Scholes or the passing of Keane, but he could consistently offer about 70 or 80 percent of what either player could provide, which allowed us to sustain similar levels of quality even in the games they missed.

I definitely will accept a draw next week. That feeling when watching us achieve that many wins in a row has been lost for the past ten years. It’s a landmark really to show the winning mentality and mental strength. Under Sir Alex, it’s how we overcame Jose’s Chelsea and Pep’s ManCity when people felt they were unbeatable.
My original expectations in timeline about our development so far is on schedule, i.e., major transformation done before the end of year. Now, it’s the second phase to try to win trophies, including the league though a bit difficult. But, who knows. I am of course very optimistic.
I'll be honest and say I'm not excited about the next 2 PL games at all - I'm not totally bricking it either, but at this point I feel we are favourites against any team bar City and Arsenal and alas, they're coming back-to-back. I feel we could have easily put a momentous run together if those 2 were further down the season.
Either way, this team of ours is so effective at getting results that they could go and get 4 out of 6 points from those games, and if we manage that, well that's huge! On the other hand, it wouldn't be completely strange to come out with zero.

New owners would be silly to let him slip through their fingers, we've got potential contender to klopp and pep at the club. I'm not saying he definitely is that, but he definitely has the potential and tactical knowledge to get there. Part of what makes him exciting for me is not knowing what his ceiling is yet. Where as with the other managers we could get, we already know they aren't on that level.

Chelsea got rid of Tuchel which seemed mad at the time for Potter , it can happen.
Think about it the other way around: we make the effort to beat them and we have a highway to beat other teams while they have to drop pts between each others. The players have to be pumped for those games!

One thing I like is the emphasis we've put on set pieces.
In both this game and v forest, we've used set plays to gain the lead and force what would usually be a team who'd come to OT and play for a point - to actually come out and play - creating space for us to score more.
We've always struggled to break these kind of teams down, so it looks like ten Hag has identified this as a way to open up space by forcing these "low block" teams to come out.
