Good to see young players trying to make it abroad. Something which, for whatever reason, doesn't seem to happen with English players as much as those of other nationalities.

Ireland's group looks well tough. Will try to catch some matches but they are quite early in the day for me.

Felix Passlack has scored for Germany vs Belgium. Apparently he's a big Dortmund talent.
He's the only one in that squad I'd heard of before. And yeah, he's supposed to be the most promising player in Dortmund's academy.

It seems that England qualified quite handily for the tournament but some friendly results since then seem really poor. Has there been some experimental teams out?

Unfortunately i've only seen the Belgium vs Germany match.
Belgium were really good in the first 30 minutes with some good chances. But typical for Germany that they have had two chances and have scored both of them, the 2nd goal from Schmidt was beautiful.
Apparently Dorsch (Big talent from Bayern Munich) has broken his fibula.

Most of our best players couldn’t be here for a variety of different reasons and that’s fine as it gives some others a chance to come into the reckoning. From my point of you, this week allows me to get to know some of the players that I don’t know that well and to take a closer look at those I do know a bit about."

Holland is playing Ireland at the moments, I know Eiting, Fosu Mensah, De ligt, Dilrosun, all highly rated talents. Not showing on Eurosport here.
Not one United player in the England squad and only one (Fosu-Mensah - Dutch) in the whole competition...
i hope we at least have some scouts out there!!!

To start with a win in a tournament is always important but it's even more important in a "Group of Death".
Totally deserved win for the Young Lions with that 2nd half performance.

That Holland doesn't look half bad. Italy looked poor, hopefully gives us a chance of going through.
Mastour is a huge miss for Italy.
