We should be beating them handily. They are strugging in the worst version of La Liga in decades.

So much to panic about this campaign.

First it's "we're shit against Spanish sides!" times four.

Then possibly "Pogba to have a worldie against us!".

Then "Jose shithouse masterclass incoming!".

On paper Roma is doable. We beat Lazio too and they're better than them this year, but Mourinho-ball doesn't suit Dutch teams. Knocking the cnut out would be fecking glorious though, maybe Karsdorp can make a few own goals and flip Mou off.

Sevilla  4 ties v Spanish opposition this season. Plus Juve or Sporting in the semis if we go through. Unbelievable.
We’ve been knocked out of Europe by Spanish opposition every year for 5 years now. At least under Ten Hag we seem to have cracked that particular mental block by knocking out two already.

Holy shit, we’re in the middle of March with two weeks international break, and still have all those fixtures to go. That’s insane.

Tough draw route to tbe final for us but Sevilla have been poor this season so with the first leg at home I think its possible for us to get a big win and have the tie sown up before we go to Seville.

Juventus will be difficult to play in Turin but with the 2nd leg being at home I think we should be favorites.

Being realistic (should we face the teams you are all worried about) I see it like this...

Sevilla - crap this season, and easily beatable over two legs.
Juventus - good team but not as good as Barcelona, Old Trafford would be rocking in the second leg and we will likely just have too much for them.
Roma - decent but really and truly, even though they got an easier route, I can seem them struggling to make it through. Not a team to be feared

Overall, anything can happen in cup competitions. But we are strong favourites and it should be other teams worrying about us.

We knocked out two of those 2 years ago plus we beat them regularly in the groups. Problem hasn't been beating them but that we keep facing them until one of them knocks us out.

Had a feeling we were gonna get Sevilla since they were the last remaining La Liga team left in the competition. They’ve had our number in the past so it’s about time we walloped these cnuts.

The potential semi-final tie is intriguing. Would love it to be Juventus and for Pogba to make a one-off miraculous recovery so he can play and we knock them out with him thinking feck I wish I never left. Talking about the potential final opponent, it will be amazing if it’s Mourinho’s Roma. The prospect of beating him in a final will be so sweet!

Anyways, I think I'm getting a little too far ahead of myself and should just focus on knocking Sevilla out first! :D

Roma are much better than Lazio and the last time you played in Rome they made you look like an amateur side...just saying

Absolutely, and we beat Sociedad away too in the groups I think? So doing well but just incredible to play that many in one run of a tournament. Plus a difficult semi-final too.

Totally agree and said as much on the pod last night. The talent in the EL this year is very high and if we make the final it would be a very worth run considering the opposition.

Sevilla can’t score and can’t defend. They’re awful this season and are a club in crisis tbh.

Sevilla fans after us beating Betis with 41 year old Joaquin featuring.

"That's right; they did whoop Real Betis' ass!"
"......Joaquin was 137 years old when he played!!!"

At full strength, without legal distractions we are still more than decent and Allegri keeps it tight, so we will see.

It would be foolish to underestimate Juventus. Not sure what is going on there but that's a more than competent side to face in a knock out game. I don't think anyone should be looking at that as big favourites being involved. Anything can happen.

True. That said, I don’t think ETH will underestimate them.
