I expect that Bournemouth, being the weakest side, will be drawn against City, who famously get an easy draw thanks to brown envelopes in the round that proceeds this one.

Do we have to go to extra time? We should just flip a coin and call it a night.

If only Rashy had put that point blank shot away.

We could have gone through, and then gone to a warm bed and forgotten about it.

Swansea are shite
Despite rotating, City have an XI out there that is arguably as strong as their first XI. They have their first-XI midfield in Rodri and Gundogan as well as two first-XI forwards in Sterling and Gabriel Jesus. Despite that, the rest of the players can all make a case for being in City's first XI in one way or another.

Swansea are not going to stand a chance at beating this City side unless City really screw up.

City is the sort of team that Jordan Morris tends to play well against given their very high line, but at the moment, he's rarely been given a through pass. Most of them have been going to Jamal Lowe, who has to deal with Kyle Walker!

EDIT: The more this match develops, the more it looks like Jordan Morris is being used as a target man. That's not how you get the best out of him. He needs to be played in behind City's defence, not hold up the ball.

City's sub bench won't be breached tonight. Nice position to be in to rest your back 4 for cups but still have 150m+ to play.

Oh well, City 1.

Anyway, Spurs-Everton, looking forward to it. Bet Jose and Carlo go for it, could be only trophy they can win, Everton I mean. Come to think of it, Spurs too, City in LC final...

It's incredible to see how misused Morris is in this Swansea setup. He's barely receiving any of the passes that he typically gets for both the US national team and Seattle Sounders. Let's see if that changes in the 2nd half, but he'll be key for Swansea in causing City problems.

It'll be City or Chelsea away for Bournemouth and the 2nd weakest team left.

Well get the best team remaining then away
Yep, then we play an elite side again in the semis and get called bottlers despite our difficult run to even get there

Looking forward to drawing Tottenham for the quarter and Manchester City for the semi final
