FA Cup Quarter Finals - SF: Brighton vs United

Can’t complain - All homes draws which means baring a QF replay, We’ll never have to play away outside Wembley
If we make the semis they may as well just let us play that at OT as well.

I wanted City at home to be honest. To resolve now question are we winning FA cup or not

Home draw, avoided City.
Hopefully some similar rotation can see us through that.

It's nice draw, could've been worse and better. Home draw again as well. No replay in quarterfinal if there's no winner after 90 minutes, right?

Grimsby are 16th in League Two so to go to last 8 of Fa Cup is such a great achievement. Well done to them.

Such a poor result from Spurs. No doubt Sheffield Utd were great in that game but Tottenham ruined their best chance for trophy.

Hope Burnley can make it difficult for City at Etihad, though you'd expect easy City win there.

Would definitely have settled with that after 75 minutes of the game - get through in normal time, avoid City, and get a home draw. That'll do nicely.

Only slight irritation is how often people keep referencing our 'luck' with cup draws because we get home ties, but no reference to the fact that we keep drawing PL opponents. Getting Everton at home in the 3rd round isn't 'luck' - when you could easily be getting 3rd, 4th, 5th tier opponents at that stage.

But I'll definitely take Fulham at home in the QF's - even if we could've had championship or league two opponents instead rather than the team 7th in the PL.

Just been reminded that it’s 40 years this year since we played Brighton in the FA Cup Final.

I would take that!

Also, imagine EtH finishing the domestic season with another trophy against the team that humbled him the first game?

Only really city standing in our way. You’d have to think we could win this one too.

Imagine Arteta beating Pep to the league and Kompany knocking him out of the FA cup

Why don't they just pick one ball out the bag and whoever that is gets given the trophy.

Would save a lot of time.

Erm, why is this fixture on March 18 (Sat) and not March 19 (Sun) since we play Betis on Thursday?

The 2007/08 was the last season where at least 50% of the Quarter Finalists were from outside of the Premier League, until now. It's a nice change, hope Grimsby (and Burnley) get to Wembley.

Should've gone on to win that one by the way, thank you Mr. Atkinson.

The Treble that could've been...

Out of curiosity - how would the authorities handle things if we were to play City in the semis or final at Wembley? The thought of trainloads of mixed fans travelling there and back is a bit scary! Would they have a red train and a (smaller) blue train?
I suppose if we listen to Pep only the City fans will be coming from Manchester and ours will be coming from wherever!!
