Premier League clubs in the Tier checker (post-Dec 16)

Arsenal: Tier 3
Aston Villa: Tier 3
Brighton: Tier 2
Burnley: Tier 3
Chelsea: Tier 3
Crystal Palace: Tier 3

Everton: Tier 2
Fulham: Tier 3
Leeds United: Tier 3
Leicester City: Tier 3

Liverpool: Tier 2
Manchester City: Tier 3
Manchester United: Tier 3
Newcastle United: Tier 3
Sheffield United: Tier 3

Southampton: Tier 2
Tottenham Hotspur: Tier 3
West Bromwich Albion: Tier 3
West Ham United: Tier 3
Wolverhampton Wanderers: Tier 3

Changes: Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are now Tier 3

Will update if Manchester or any other Tier 3 region goes Tier 2 but so far London's the only significant change.
This is insane.
So Liverpool play Palace in an empty stadium, while Spurs had to play the same fixture with 2000 palace fans only a few days ago. So fecked up it's unreal.
Klopp would be the first to moan if it was against his team.

This infuriates me more than a last minute Liverpool winner. It's inherently unfair and unbalances what's supposed to be a level competitive playing field. Absolute bullshit and I don't understand how it can be justified.

It’s not even about the fairness of competition. It’s almost unbelievable that people are cancelling plans to see family this Christmas, while 2000 people can go and watch football.

Only two clubs in the Premier League are allowed fans after the next round of fixtures.

You’ll be shocked to find out who they are...

Well let me guess.. Everton and Liverpool?

They should just scrap that all together.

I think any North West or Yorkshire based rule breakers will be headed from Tier 3 areas to Liverpool as it is the only place with pubs open (I do not condone this but I would reckon there are a fair few of them). Don’t expect them to stay Tier 2 for long.

Could you imagine the uproar if it was only Us and say Man City who were allowed fans to attend matches in the whole of the league,

The Media would be having a field day, everytime we won a game at home it would be solely down to the fact were allowed fans and how the FA are corrupt and helping us, shocking decision.

Didn't feel right how Everton could have fans in last night but not us... they definitely had some kind of advantage however small.

Should be scrapped until it is more of a level playing field.

How many away sides have won with fans in the home teams stadium so far?

We've done it twice now (West Ham and last night) probably not getting enough credit for that

There’s an advantage, just the sound levels when Everton has their first attack after 30 minutes. It clearly gets their players adrenaline pumping and increases the nerves of the opposition.

There’s a reason teams win more at home.

Ridiculous rule.

What’s the point in having 3 clubs with fans. Might aswell just not bother and keep it a level playing field for all.

load of bs.

For what it’s worth, this won’t survive long. It’s a matter of a few weeks before the entire country is back in a national lockdown looking at the current rates of spread of the new mutation in the south of the country.

Liverpool isn’t hermetically sealed off and seeing how people are ignoring the rules around travelling out of tier 4 areas or willing to accept the paltry £30 fine if they’re caught, it’s just a matter of time before all parts of the country are classified as a tier 4 area.

Unbelievable.

Where is the integrity of the league line now?

It corrupts the integrity of the competition, like Bielsa said. There is no question about that. And yesterday when we were all over them, the fans erupted when they won the ball back in their own half, and celebrated their first corner like clinching the treble. It has a huge impact.

An asterisk next to "Champions" if Liverpool get it again.

Liverpool game at home will be the only fixture with home fans in the ground.

Gov helping Liverpool FC home record, and yet they are all out to get them.

So not only best fixture list during christmas. Now also only club getting their fans in.

In words of Klopp. Congratulation.

As said in another thread. This have to be investigated impartial. No way that everything is how it should be.

Time to bring up the discuss again?

Netherlands welcome fans in Covid experiment with eye on Euros

A week after 1,500 dance music devotees descended on the Dutch village of Biddinghuizen, Oranje supporters will become the latest to take part in a nationwide experiment to discover the feasibility of safely hosting large-scale events in the Covid-19 era.

In a government-backed initiative called Back to Live organised by the publicly funded agency Fieldlab, 5,000 ticket-holders will be allowed to enter the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam for Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Latvia provided they have tested negative for the coronavirus at special sites from 8am that morning and recorded that on a CoronaCheck app with a QR code. They will be divided into different sections, with some having to wear face masks but others allowed to go without to show their support for Frank de Boer’s side, who lost 4-2 in Turkey on Wednesd ay

Well it's going to be 10k + for final two prem games isn't it?

Then hopefully 20k + from August and work up from there although next winter is still uncertain.

Why would they risk 10k for the last couple of games when they could just give it another couple of months break before the start of next season? Particularly when they have the Euros to use as a trial run.
