Don’t know if it’s been done before but if you could put together a fantasy band using musicians from past and present who would you have in it?

Up to 6 members:
  1. Drums / Percussion
  2. Lead guitar
  3. Rhythm guitar
  4. Bass
  5. Vocals
  6. Wildcard (can be anything)

Really though,

Bruce Dickinson vocals
Yngwie malmsteen on guitar
Rudolph schencker guitar (just for his energy on stage)
Cliff Burton bass
Not sure about drummer tbh, we can stick with Nicko mcbrain (maybe nightwish drummer actually)
Floor Jansen extra vocalist

Hard to leave dio out, I want him in too.

Not really sure how that mashup would work
Let's call them "feck Off Ed Sheeran"

The reason I stuck this up is because me and my Mrs did it last night after a few drinks and were watching loads of (live) music on YouTube. It was a good night and we had some proper debates on what our fantasy band would be.

I ended up with:

Drums - Danny Goffey (Supergrass) - High energy, almost on the edge of control.
Bass - Chris Wolstenholm (Muse) - Crazy driving force, machine of a bassist
Lead guitarist - Jimi Hendrix
Ryhthm guitarist - Joe Strummer - Maybe not the best rhythm guitarist but I just want him in there.
Vocals - bloody hard to choose but I ended up with John Lydon (much to the horror of my Mrs)

Wild card: Phil Hartnol with mixing / sampling duties.

I think I'd go for a hybrid of Nickleback, Limp Bizkit and The Jonas Brothers with James Corden as the wild card.

I'm sure some of you are just listing the most obscure musicians you know to show how edgy you are. Some of these even sound made up

I've had to Google just about everyone mentioned. Maybe I am just an uncultured swine though.
