Anelka:

So whats the verdict ? How many goals has he scored for you this year ? Is he worth keeping at the weekly wage he's reportedly asking ?

He's not a prolific goal scorer but he offers an extra dimension to our attack, that ability to take on defenders with ease, he links up well with Heskey and has done alright with Owen, with a full pre-season under his belt he will be better so i say sign him. AS long as his not asking for more than what Owen is getting i'd give him what he wants.

Difficult question, if Anelka has put his sulking days behind him them i'd opt for Anelka otherwise i'd take Cisse, either will do for me though :)

why don't you think that wages should reward talent and ability ?? </strong><hr></blockquote>

I rate Owen higher than Anelka, Anelka maybe better at taking players on but Owen is so much more clinical than him

I think Anelka could be good for you next year. He'll have a year of continuity under his belt at LFC. He should partner Owen imo.

do you think anelka would have put the hatrick of chances away that owen missed ?</strong><hr></blockquote>

Come off it, every striker goes off the boil at some stage just because he had a poor game does'nt make him crap

i didn't say he was.

i just think that anelka is a better player than owen and if he wanted higher wages than him then he should get them as i agree adds somthing to liverpool that owen and heskey are unable to do although limanem is wasted !

his problem comes when he's faced with a post...he keeps hitting them!

I'd assume he'll be better after a full pre-season, but there is no way of knowing this (until/unless we sign him and see how he's doing next season, by which time of course, it may be too late.)

IMO, Cisse is a better prospect and ATM, given the choice, I'd choose him.

I do like anelka and in an ideal world, we'd get both. ;)
