Horrible game to have to deal with but Ole was pretty clear that clinching qualification last time out would free him up to play the reserves here. We can send a smattering of senior players for this, we clearly won't be picking Jones again any time soon in the PL and I would imagine Young and Mata fall in the same bracket. Matic and Shaw are more of a question mark just because with no first team action in a while they probably can only be counted on as subs at best. Looks like the U23s will be going on a road trip.

Difficult game to manage. While it makes sense to play younger and fringe players it takes away momentum from the players that have been playing well. Plus, any player that is injury prone should be left at home. We all know any half hearted warmup or not at full fitness then trying to sprint in sub zero temperatures will twinge, strain or pull something.

I would love to see both Garner and Levvit play.It looks unrealistic at this point but i hope one of them will be a regular part of the squad by the end of the season. Both are very talented and much better footballers imo compared to some of the ones we've been linked with for huge money.
