I'm afraid he kind of did, we got knocked out at the CL group stage and ended up subsequently getting knocked out of the round of 16 by Atletico Bilbao.

But I appreciate the sentiment nonetheless and what he did in fact do is win more than 1 premier league trophy so there's that.

As Keane pointed out they did what they needed to do to win the league most seasons, rotating the first 11 and did great in cups so what more do you want from them

I remember us getting schooled by Bielsa and Athletic in the early 2010's. Must've been drunk.
 
Peter Schmeichel, Rotor Voldergrad. Opening round of the UEFA cup. The kids first great test. Fun night, even if we got knocked out on away goals.

What you probably meant was Fergie NEVER finished outside top 3 since he first won the league in 93. That’s 21(!!) years in a row finishing top 3.

Once Man Utd won the league, or when Man Utd had a comfortable margin of error in the league, Fergie would rotate the squad in the league, leading to dropped points.


In Fergie's last season (12-13), we were on the way to 96 points with 4 league games to go. But we won the league so players got slack and we had sqaud rotation so we ended up 89 points

Tbf, Fergie qualified for the Uefa Cup twice (1992 and 1995) through league position.

Exactly.
Utd use to win the league with games to spare. What motivation was there to win every game after that ? Most players switched off and most of them were hungover for the remainder of the season. Never understood this points tally stuff. It’s all about wining the league. End of!
 
Klopp is a lot of things, but I doubt he himself would ever make a personal comparison with Ferguson or the man's achievements.
