I always seem to forget about the traditional political scandals in the OlympicsCould be worse... see the boxing scandal with the guy being knocked down five times and being declared the winner.
That Korean keeper was mental against GB. He could easily have been given another yellow in the last few minutes of that match.Wish we had this ref when we played Blackburn at home last season - their keeper was taking the piss and didn't even see a yellow
Heard there was a 9m payment to ensure a boxing medal. WTF?I always seem to forget about the traditional political scandals in the Olympics
Indeed it's too rarely used, but I don't think she was right to do it this time.Wish we had this ref when we played Blackburn at home last season - their keeper was taking the piss and didn't even see a yellow
I heard a nice one yesterday, although it was a Norwegian commentator commenting on women's handball - "Løke loses her man".I wonder if they shout "man on"?
"losing her woman" would sound weird, to be fair. I wonder if 5-a-side games ever involve "last woman back" in nets?I heard a nice one yesterday, although it was a Norwegian commentator commenting on women's handball - "Løke loses her man".
I think "man" can mean person in Swedish, dont know about the other Scandinavian languages .I heard a nice one yesterday, although it was a Norwegian commentator commenting on women's handball - "Løke loses her man".
Harsh being dumped in the middle of an Olympic event.I heard a nice one yesterday, although it was a Norwegian commentator commenting on women's handball - "Løke loses her man".
That's how it is in English, although it's getting more and more outdated. We don't have it Norwegian - mann = man, kvinne = woman, menneske = Man as in human being. I doubt they'd use the word for "mann" as a word for "menneske" in Sweden, but... they're a bit stupid.I think "man" can mean person in Swedish, dont know about the other Scandinavian languages .
In old English it meant the same. There was no separate word for woman.
Yup. Didn't we have a thread not too long ago with a female player having a go at the man's game for that very reason? ("More drama queens in men's football than women's," I think it was.)The honesty is great. They get kicked, get up and get on with it. No rolling round in fake agony, no waving of cards or petulant flouncing. Makes the men look like a bunch of prissy drama queens.

Indeed; it's been brilliant. The honesty is great. They get kicked, get up and get on with it. No rolling round in fake agony, no waving of cards or petulant flouncing. Makes the men look like a bunch of prissy drama queens.
Indeed, they prefer to do the judgingApparently Solo's message got through
Yes, getting the ball is clearly red worthy. That is a fecking red.
