Would be no use. No one is putting the ball in thereWe need a striker that lethal in the box.
Disallowed by VAR apparently. No idea why, seeing as he's miles onside and there doesn't look to be a foul on the turnover.Tweet

He was used in completely the wrong position. Unbelievably, we've then sold him and bought someone else for £60m to press high up the pitch and win the ball back - which is what Fred should have been doing the whole time. If it had been £60m well spent I wouldn't be so annoyed by this.I never had a problem with Fred. He had his strengths and weaknesses but always gave 100% and unlike most of our midfield, could actually cover some ground (which, you know, is kinda important for midfielders).
Erik Ten Hag is crazy for not giving that Fred Casemiro pairing more burn after all the success they had during that runAn integral member of all our best performance last season (albeit often when replacing a tired Eriksen) I guess Mount was supposed to be a replacement/upgrade. Be nice to see him start to look that way…
They were good for Brazil too.Erik Ten Hag is crazy for not giving that Fred Casemiro pairing more burn after all the success they had during that run
Few months forward and Fred would probably compete with Dalot and AWB for our most improved player. Shame ETH clearly didn't like him, and used only when no other option.Erik Ten Hag is crazy for not giving that Fred Casemiro pairing more burn after all the success they had during that run
Yeah. He was man of the match in Spurs, Barcelona and City at home. Started both games against Barca, the League cup final, both quarter final legs of the Europa. But then strangely barely played much toward the end of the season including not starting either Europa semi. Daft decision to sell.An integral member of all our best performance last season (albeit often when replacing a tired Eriksen) I guess Mount was supposed to be a replacement/upgrade. I think the decision to sell was influenced by his age and contract status. Plus his weird habit of only ever producing a 1/10 or 9/10 performance. With no way of knowing what comes next.Yeah. 20/20 wins for Fred at Fenerbahçe now.
Apparently well ^How is little fridge doing at fenerbace?
Good Fred was often one of the best players on the pitch. He'd have genuinely been a quality player for Klopp's Liverpool.I can't believe we genuinely miss Good Fred.
He really didn’t. He wasn’t consistent but was too ready to sacrifice himself for the good of the team, and to do what the manager asked of him. He was never a DM, look at his Shahktar highlights and he’s much further forward and scored regularly. Our managers all misused him which is why we got good Fred and bad Fred.Great to hear he's doing well. Great attitude but lacked that extra little bit of quality.
We can agree to disagree about his quality. But i do agree with you that his best role should never have been as a DM. Box to box is how/where he was seemingly always used best. Shows you the utter incompetency of our transfers post SAF.He really didn’t. Nail. Head.Selling him was the correct decision in theory and we shouldn't be missing him. But obviously our recruitment is so poor we're consistently unable to replace players with better ones, so we end up wishing we hadn't sold them
100% this. Or we sell the "wrong" player(s) and keep even worse ones at the club. Johnny Evans being another example IMO.Selling him was the correct decision in theory and we shouldn't be missing him. It's like de Gea alsoSelling him was the correct decision in theory and we shouldn't be missing him. But obviously our recruitment is so poor we're consistently unable to replace players with better ones, so we end up wishing we hadn't sold them
