Barcelona to their credit always act on what’s good for Barcelona as they 100% have to right now.

Our club is what is best for the Glazer family. Black stain or not you can see which club wants to win the most out of the two, it’s not United that’s for damn sure.

Ours is always “trust in the process” FC. Give us 20 transfer windows we still have deadwood signed by Fergie.
Yeah, selling club properties, that's a right thing to do.

Nah they’re in massive trouble. Selling off future incomes because they have no money and are hundreds of millions in debt whilst spending that money on 34 year old strikers?

Unless something drastic happens I can’t even imagine where Barce will be in 3 years time.

Yeah, Barcelona does what's best for the political narrative of their current president, not what's best for the club. As bad as the Glazers are, we can at least be sure they won't ruin the club, since it's their asset. Laporta spends the future away to win the next election, leaving his successor a club in financial ruin. Ironically, that's exactly what Bartomeu did, but Laporta somehow escapes the same vilification. For now

It’s very cute how potentially crippling loans are called levers or palancas with this club and equally adorable how some of their fans fight tooth and nail to convince themselves that everything’s fine and this is just free money

Barcelona are taking out pay day loans to pay for Miralem Pjanic’s wages, while borrowing more money still to pay for their shiny new toys

Laurie Whitwell -

“Senior United sources continue to reject claims that De Jong is not interested in moving to Old Trafford. They view the primary obstacle as financial rather than emotional — wages owed to the player and payments due to his agents. Much rests on that judgment being correct.

Alternative views abound that De Jong would prefer to stay at Barcelona or go to Chelsea, a team in London as well as the Champions League. A wrong call by United there, even if based on Ten Hag’s guidance, would be calamitous to this summer’s recruitment.”

If the news about us willing to pay the deferred wage is true, then I think we’ve been played by Barca and bitten at the Chelsea interest. And at this point, I’m absolutely fecking fine with that

Today I'm so certain he's going to join us that I'm already in the process of lowering my expectations of his impact in his first season.
That’s not the red cafe way. If he doesn’t win POTY then he’s a flop, surely?

Man even if FdJ comes I would argue that those around us - Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham etc have all strengthened better than us. Thats not even to talk about Pool, City and Chelsea...

That's the spirit.

Just focus on us, why worry about West Ham.

Maybe I'm alone, but I just want to enjoy watching us again, hopefully that leads to top 4 and a trophy. Last few years have been tumescent and miserable.

Everyone thought we strengthened much better than all of the above last Summer, after just finishing above all of them, including Liverpool.
So argue all you like, it means nada.

Is Frenkie de Jong the only fecking midfielder in this entire world? We're gonna pay the transfer fee and the deferred wages on top of that too? Not a good deal at all. Hopefully he is worth it but I doubt it.

No one is paying deferred wages. No one is this stupid.

Caf: we neglected midfield for so long, Glazers penny pinching, embarrassing

Also Caf: 100m for one the best midfielders around, the one our new manager wants to build the team around? Madness!
